Fair play to the lad - looks like he's developed a new hunger and thirst for the game.
The once seemingly lazy and apathetic player is now a hard working and motivated team player. Great to see him pressing hard, chasing lost causes and really putting in a shift every game. That's what we criticised him for hard when we saw Negredo doing it.
Yeah, he still obviously great on the ball, and we've got to accept that he never will be. His shooting leaves a lot to be desired. But if he's doing his job in scoring goals whilst helping the team out in other areas, then that's fine.
Hopefully his form isn't just momentary and continues into after the WC.
(That is if he's still here. Wouldn't take anything less than 25 mill for him atm).
