Player Thread: Patrick Roberts

I still hope we start to see him on the bench for the last couple of months of the season.

from what i remember he made 20 appearance of fulham starting in a few. For a 17 year old thats pretty good. i think he played the most of the youth team game for celtic the other week and he doesnt look injured to me. i would have thought he would have at least been on the bench for some of the games,

They've only played 3 matches since he joined and that's including the Aberdeen match on pretty much his first day up here. Give the lad a chance.

Him saying he was leaving will have played a part, but he wasn't playing well either. He'd not managed to make any impact in the games he'd played and from what I gathered the suggestion was it was a bit soon for him to be in a team that was struggling and needing to battle.
 
Apparently hd played another blinder tonight for their u21's,hopefully it should edge him that bit closer to their first team
 
Celtic fans salivating about his cameo in the first team yesterday. Apprently showed enough in a few minutes to have them realising what a prospect he is.

Watched it. He was on for ten minutes but looked a level of skill above most immediately. Glided past about four players in his first two touches and he was involved in their third playing a lovely backheeled one-two with someone. Definitely gonna enjoy himself out there.

He wanted the goal badly too. Happy to see he is hungry to succeed and I think he's technically too good for the league.
 
Back on the bench for Celtics cup game which is on sky. Will give it a watch if he comes on.
