Re: Samir Nasri

Samir Nasri doesn't care. Yaya Toure is lazy. James Milner is just a runner. Edin Dzeko has a bad attitude. Cheap seat bollocks.

Anyone got a graphic of nasris passes? Felt he shirked it as usual and im not gonna let a disallowed goal gloss over that.

Nathaniel oseni can go fuck himself

Agree on both points.

Someone posted a picture this week of Nasri lying on a beach in Ibiza, during the international break?

That was disappointing to see, as I would have expected him to be back at Carrington with some of our other players getting extra sharp?

It's not like he didn't have a nice rest during the summer?

Sure, players earn so much money, they can probably do something like that as a day trip if it fancies them.

Perhaps he is allowed time of like the rest of us

True, but it's all about how far you want to push yourself, surely.

He had five weeks off during the summer and the season is still barely a month old.

Nasri does not look fit and he will continue to divide opinion with regards his supposed commitment on the pitch when it really matters.

Lying on a beach will not help change perceptions, whether valid or not.

He's not been the same since that assault at Newcastle.

Perhaps Nasri stayed at a hotel with a gym and did a work out there or did a load of laps in the pool or went for a run?

What is for cetain is that City deemed that they could give him some time off. The physical side of the game is importnat but for players at the top level, the mental side is hugely important and some chill out time may have as many benefits as a few extra hours in the gym etc over the course of a long season.

Re: Samir Nasri

He does have periods of being average and has started this season this way but let's not forget his goal against West Ham in May set us all at ease for our second title in 3 years of which he has been involved in both!

Mods , can we merge this with the "who will be the new boo boy thread" please.

First off,he's not the 'new' boo boy is he? he's been a boo boy for a couple of seasons, however,as more and more are realising......its not without foundation.

Why do some of you believe we cannot discuss players when they are playing poorly? just as praise is offered when a performance merits such, criticism, where appropriate, shouldn't be frowned upon.

Nasri is playing like he couldn't give a fuck, its frustrating because we have witnessed how different he can be when he chooses otherwise.Take Milner,he is very limited where natural talent is concerned, however, few will attack him because he plays every game like its his last, giving his all.

Even Silva, without question,a superior player imo, plays with endless passion and effort,so why does Nasri think he's different?

It deserves discussion.

Milner might look like he gives his all every match, but with respect to him, making the difference to winning the league won't be done by players of his calibre.
Nasri Silva and Toure playing together in midfield have been the fulcrum of our team and the basis of our success. When they play together the quality of passing, possession, movement and interplay and ball carrying improves markedly. And when they don't play, like in some domestic cup games in the past, we've not looked the same team.
The same critics of Nasri making 'no effort' or 'not caring' are likely the same ones who criticise Toure for the same. In both cases it's part of their style, its how they move & play naturally. I would always welcome these 3 in our team. Every time.

Absolutely right about the interplay between the trio of Nasri, Yaya and Silva; which is enhanced even further when they have Aguero in front of them.

For those that criticise his work etc, I vividly recall him hairing back from the opponents' half into his own to try and run down an Arsenal player 70 odd minutes into the game, which was not the act of an uncommitted player.

What a lot of people don't realise about Nasri is that his position is pretty much the only position where we've never had anything approaching depth. There are no other naturally left sided attackers (Scott Sinclair aside) and there hasn't ever really been. Mancini tried Balo there, but that's about it.

Look at the top retweet by one of our own youth players. Disgraceful IMO.

I hope we bin the c**t ASAP. That has to be gross misconduct surely. He dreams of ever being a tenth of the player Nasri is.

On another note, I thought Nasri was ok today, but he always seems to struggle against his old club. It seems like the booing gets to him. He needs to man up and tun it into his motivation to turn them over whenever we play them. Still think he is criminally underrated by some on here though.

This **** should be punished and im not acting like a knee jerk fan but when you are aiming to build a standard everyone involved in this club should be professional

As for Nasri he should see a compiled video of his performance against Arsenal One word average at best

I find it a bit odd that we have decided we absolutely have to slag someone off. Nasri did alright, not his best, but alright. Like City actually.

Why not just dust ourselves down and look forward to Bayern? At least twattenburg won't ref that one

It's because they just all seem to like shouting at each other on here, quite entertaining it is...

Looks as if he has taken it down now, maybe someone from the club has had a word. It is disgraceful that one of our young players should be posting that muck.

He should be fcuked off......let him train with the first team for a week though before he goes

Re: Samir Nasri

nasri was getting dogs abuse from the tarquins whilst warming up , they were waving there £50 notes in the air , next time nasri goes to the library he should wear his 2 premiership medals round his neck .

Re: Samir Nasri

I have mixed feelings toward Nasri think he's overpaid and sometimes fades away in games. But is good player when doing the one-twos or through balls

Great players feed off the negativity and turn it round to destroy their critics. He is a wimp.

He's a world class footballer who two managers in a row have seen as integral to our team.

Also the nonsense about great players feeding off negativity, it's just nonsense. People, humans, are all different. They are motivated by different things. Some great players need an arm around the shoulder, other great players need bollocking every now and again, some great players love playing at home, other great players love playing away from home.

There's no one size fits all analysis, although it's fair to say that Nasri destroyed all the negativity from two seasons ago with his performances last season, which again I'll repeat, were integral to our title win.

Wimp my arse.

Yep, no going back. Get rid. I like the idea of a week's training with the first team!

Should Instantly have his contract removed for that. Give him a training session with the first team first though so they can show him up as the talentless big mouth fuck that he is.

Re: Samir Nasri

Didn't he move to the central midfield once fernandinho was off and kola came on,he did well there and lol after watching the match again his smile when he knew the goal was ruled offside was priceless, hehe.Wish he could have got one,i am sick of the booing of nasri by the arsenal fans.
