Re: Mangala

Welcome to the premier league this partnership will the best in world football...

Re: Mangala

Anyone else thought he was unlucky with the penalty ? He was looking and going for the ball, to me it was more of a collision than a foul.

Mangala went well...

Not a peep from the c*nt when Mangala did well v Chelsea but piping up again, really is a rag cockroach of the highest order and sums up the local media

And that was his only commentary on the game too. Lame.

Re: Mangala

Give the guy a chance a bad day today.Everyone was slagging MD and he ended up being one of the reasons we won the league.Mangala is class

Re: Mangala

Just watching Sky's game of the day re-run now, and the criticism of Mangala is both gratuitous and ridiculous, particularly from the co-commentator. I don't doubt that the media would love to undermine the lad's confidence by turning him into a figure of fun like they tried to do with Dimichelis; a £32m flop who arrives at tackles in a clown car, from which the doors blow off and out steps Mangler to trip someone up with a size 32 foot. That sort of shit.

Well, we have it within our gift to negate that well versed MO by getting behind the lad, bellowing out his name and not filling forum pages like this with knobhead criticisms about a 22 year old playing only his second game in the most remorseless league in the world. Just sayin' like

Re: Mangala

People will regret making such quick judgments about someone who could be immense for us for the next decade.

Some of you should have been around for Joe Corrigan's first few years! I believe Meathead was his nickname when I used to sit behind the Platt Lane goals as a nipper, and look how he turned out!

Nope, pretty blatant on the replays.

Also, Hinchclliffe on Sky was well too harsh on Mangala for the OG. There was a Hull player waiting for a pull back and yet he says Mangala wasn't deep enough? If he was and the ball had been pulled back Hinchcliffe would have been saying he was too deep and should have been covering
Dammed if he does, dammed if he doesn't. Mangala wasn't bad today, he was simply unlucky.
He was poor today. He may be a great prospect, but he doesn't look ready yet.

Of course he's ready ya pudding. He was magnificent versus Chelsea and he performed well against Wedneday.
Yesterday he was clumsy in a few situations that cost us dear, however,he showed great character in not letting them affect him as he also made some excellent interceptions, won headers and played the ball out of defence very well. He's a superb athlete with obvious hunger, maybe even his desire to impress was the reason for his misdemeanours.

I am convinced this lad is the real deal.

Re: Mangala

There is not a sportsman in the world that wont have off days such as these,he will have such bad games to in future once in a while but the fact is hes only 23 and can only improve, this horror show would teach him alot and hes got two absolute pros in kompany and demi to learn from so im not worried at all,the only time we could really pass a judgement on him would be after full season with us,there is a reason why every one terms premier league as the best in the world mainly because there are no easy games and he would have learnt that very quickly after hull

It's funny how many before the Chelsea game thought it was risky throwing him in the mix for such a big game and then he goes and has a wobbly one against Hull. He will come good, anyone alongside Kompany who has the ability will turn into a monster. After that own goal I think he just lost the plot a bit and was nervous which is a good thing because it shows he wants to impress. I'm sure MP got his arm around him at half time and said don't worry, forget about it.

Anyway in terms of defenders look at Demichelis, he had some shockers last year and then once he'd settled into his role towards the latter of the season he turned into an absolutely fantastic defender. Mangala will come good and we should focus on the fact that he played brilliant against Chelsea and we won yesterday so his errors can be let by and they will very quickly get ironed out of his game.
