Second booking aside, thought he had another good game. Still think he will turn into one hell of a defender for us.

Agreed. Despite the two bookings and nobody could argue them, I thought he had a good game and he is beginning to look the part.

Hopefully we see him get a run of games going, after the suspension of course. His best games being against Chelsea & Bayern says a lot about him.

Media will be on him until he has an error free game (Red wasn't his fault today), price tag does him no favours.

Mangala is class - he was good today except for the 2nd yellow.
He only needs to learn when NOT to make a challenge. The video analysts and psychologists will have him right sooner rather than later.

Whilst it was Yaya's fault he was put in a dodgy position, why on Earth didn't he slide in to win the ball, instead of that daft shoulder charge?

I believe the media are being incredibly harsh on Mangala, perhaps they are looking for something a tad bit negative to rest on after a very positive performance by the team.They are trying to drive a narrative to the masses about the player and hope it sticks. Mangala is a talented player and is going to get better when he is fully accustomed with the league.

He was not spectacular today but I cannot really criticize his performance. He had a good game.

The media were harsh on Demi when he first arrived and was making mistakes. They love a good "waste of money" story. Will all be forgotten in a year when he has settled and is showing his true potential.

Agreed - but so does Vinny!!! Guess all defenders make this mistake. It's the equivalent of strikers knowing when to shoot & when to pass. What I'm saying is it's part of the game. They're not really mistakes - just issues the media jump on when they want to hound a player
