He's a liability !

I know the guys only a youngster but he's very error prone and dives in far far too much. As a kid you're manager would always say 'never dive in' its basic stuff.

There are far better players in that position than him, infact we could have bought two for he's price tag !
Do the decent thing here mods.

No preseason to speak of. Been in the side 8 week max and people are already writing him off. Knee jerk is too polite.
Which people are these then? Your reaction is knee jerk.

My assessment was that he needs more composure and itelligence in his play.

Did he not show enough against Chelsea and Bayern?

Like I said your assessment was shit.
A bit like yours about Milner then.

The forum equivalent of "i know you are but what am i".

My assessment of Milner is that he's deeply inconsistent. He did very well today. But he's a squad player and doesn't get in the side ahead of Nasri or Navas IMO and it seems in the manager's too. Well not unless you need a grafter to do a particular marking job.

Re: Mangala

Had a great game today, although I didn't see the incident that Martinez is on about

Very talented player.

Re: Mangala

I thought both Mangala and Demichelis handled Lukaku very well.

Re: Mangala

Not doing himself any favors having 'challenges' like that repeated on MOTD though.

Re: Mangala

gonna get slated for saying this but ... i'd easily have Milner over Navas.

Navas has lost in in my opinion, his confidence must be gone for all i know cos for has the 'famous super pace', the guy looks scared to take anyone on. in a sprint race, fine. up against a defender, bottles it.

I'd have Milner any day, he keeps going, if its working or not.

.... back to Mangala. Always said he needs time to settle into the English game after playing in those hard. demanding and techincally challenging leagues og Portugal and Belgium. (sarcasm) 6 months or so, he'll start to look better and not do the silly stuff.

i think its a concentration thing for him, he looked bored at one point and went for a run, then lost it after hitting the second everton player, luckily, Everton were so toothless, nothing occurred from it.

i get why the kung fu corner thing happened. like he went to head it, realised he wasnt getting a header and tried an impossible, leg flick or something. its just that mental awareness or exuberance that he needs to know he doesnt have to win everything. especially not in the opponents area at a corner.

he has the potential ... and future pairing with Kompany will help him more. (Demichelis was good tonight, was strong and steady) The next 4 games against the so called 'easier teams' will teach him better about the English game and that every decision matters.

No just seen that myself. Bit lucky with that. Had it been away from home he'd have probably gone for that

Don't think there was intent though. Just trying to get leverage
