Re: Mangala

If he fails with us he should go to WWE and start a New career and half of his monthly salary should go to city :p
He,s doing well but need to sort out his tackling

Re: Mangala

I think he just hasn't settled yet because he hasn't been playing much until now. He's been steadily improving each game though and just needs to iron out the wild parts of his game. Once Kompany is back he will make sure he doesn't do stupid things.

Re: Mangala

My opinion is that when players come into the premier league they struggle with the intensity which leads to rashness. This could also be applied to both Kompany and Zaba when they first artived. I think both Fernando and to a greater extent Mangala will both be much better next season. One of the most important thing would be to give Demichelis a one year extension as he is the best leader at helping whoever plays alongside him at present

R.E that kick on Eto, I cant decide whether there's something malicious about him or he's just a bit of a dopey fucker
He's just ridiculously commited in the air, a bit like Micah. But unlike Micah, Mangala tends to destroy his opponent, instead of himself. He attacks every ball in the air and throws himself at the ball, 100% commited. Yesterday he just got it wrong, but there is nothing malicious about it. He will score a lot of goals from corners because of the way he commits, once we start taking reasonable corners.

Good point: Zabaleta was like Sun Jihai. He threw himself into everything.

Everton had 50% possession were trying to come back for 70 minutes i.e. they weren't sitting back and Mangala and Demichelis restricted a dangerous front two to shots at goal, one saved by Hart in the 2d half, and one blocked by the defence in the 1st half.

Really good defending from Mangala in particular apart from that one instance, and I thought that was just a bit of bad luck. A pure accident. Attacking the ball at set pieces is a big part of Mangala's game and I hope he doesn't reign that in as a result.

He's a bit nervous at the moment, but once that settles down we will have another Kompany on our hands. I think that technically he is a better player than Kompany and that's saying something because Kompany is one of the best footballing central defenders in the game.

Re: Mangala

Can't see what all the fuss is about. He has his eyes on the ball and nothing else. Just unfortunate that his foot is high but to try and say it's in some way intentional violent conduct and a Red card is laughable. It was an accident. I note MOTD didn't bother showing the arm / ebow Navas took in the first few minutes ... They wouldn't though would they.

Howard's actions were completely contemptible. I didn't see it at the time but Howard must have done. Everyone with an ounce of common sense, especially footballers, knows that was an accident.
