Re: Mangala

Perplexing decision to be honest. Did Etoo say something to him? got under his skin? Still, emotions need to be in check.

That high foot was inexcusable.

Absolutely no need or possible reason for your foot to be in that position, it was that unnatural, unless you do so on purpose.
You think he tried to kick the player when the corner's coming into him? He's entirely focussed on the ball and caught him by accident
He had his foot above waist high (for absolutely no reason whatsoever), arms up and out in front of his head and his head down. No chance he was focussed on the ball, in fact it was impossible.

ludicrous challenge that could easily have resulted in a red card

thing is, if he chops down someone who is heading through for goal and gets sent off you sort of accept it, albeit reluctantly, as taking one for the team

getting sent off for a stupid thing like that challenge on Eto would be just plain daft

Did you ever Souness play for Liverpool? and count his medal haul?
football is not all about stroked 5 yard passes and deft ball control.
Go and watch a sunday league team as part of your education.
or watch Suarez at the world cup for diverse examples of how to influence a game.
Leave Mangala alone-let the scouse media whinge about him.you sound like a big girls blouse ffs.

Re: Mangala

Is there any particular reason why people are still bleating on about this tackle? Yes, he could have seen red, no, he didn't deliberately try to kick Eto in the back. Seriously, why are people focusing on this tackle? Is it because they have already made their minds up that his a ****? That he's shit? I don't see to many people going on about the Fernando tackle which was a couple of feet higher and also could have seen a red.

Re: Mangala

For £32m Mangala is incredibly raw - he's got ability and potential, no doubt about that but the silly fouls need to be coached out of him before he really costs us in a big game. There's no point in bringing fucking Souness into this, we're not playing in the 1970s, Souness would have been suspended for half the season if he was doing that in the modern game.

Re: Mangala

I remain convinced that mangala and kompany are going to be the strongest centre half pairing in Europe.
