Tbf, he was even better when he first started here. He was injured midway through September last year and only revealed during this pre-season that he'd been carrying an injury most of last season and that he was now fully fit and pain free for the first time since then.Amazed by the improvement in him. Thought he was dogshit last season, been very pleasantly surprised by him this season.
He has very obvious limitations, but he's solid backup at present. Seems to have adapted to the game in this country now, and our style of play.
You'd think the huge improvement in him and Mangala would lead to people giving our new signings more than 5 minutes before jumping all over their backs, declaring them shit and calling for the DoF to be fired. But then you look in the Bony, Otamendi and Sterling threads and realise that some people just refuse to learn. It frequently takes time for players to settle into new teams, especially when they don't play regularly, struggle for fitness or get played in a different way they are used to, but good players usually figure it out given time and a bit of patience.
