Player topic: Frank Lampard (2014/15)

Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

Pathetic non-story. Never takes much for the media to show their true colours regarding us. Just shows that we're doing too well and they don't like it, but still it's pathetic having to put up with this sort of shite all the time.

Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

This would never have gotten' the coverage it has if Frank wasn't as successful as he has been or us.

You could argue his 7 points he has win for us this season has closed the gap to Chelsea and that's what is really hurting everybody.

The real disgrace is Chelsea allowing him to go.

With all due respect to NYCFC, it's not like they are an established club with a reputation to keep, they have no reputation at all at the moment, they have never played a game and haven't even got a team together yet.

Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

When no story on City exists .. invent one. DailyFail's philosophy.

But seriously have had enough of these whiny nycfc "fans" and bitter chelskis. No one gives a toss if your promised player didn't make it. Grow up and complain to your own club. Let your anger completely waste your chances of having a serious team in the MLS..

Anyway this is the big league. Sorry but it's the truth, and not until a few successful decades pass will MLS ever compare with the PL as a competition. Besides it's up to him where he chooses to play especially now that it's emerged that there's no contract in place..

We've made an absolute pigs ear of this deal and our PR has been amateurish.

We deserve all we get with the way we've handled this.

Whilst I agree to a certain extent, I still don't think any of this would have happened had Frank not been successful for us.

Where it went wrong is us extending his deal to the end of the season, that is what opened the can of worms, and to be honest did we really need to extend his deal? He would have been with us until the end of February.

I do have a feeling Frank is being used as an FFP dodging experiment a that's what everyone isn't happy with.

We want to be on top of the global tree in terms of revolutionising the way a football club can be run, we have to expect a lot of hate from those who cannot emulate what we can do an potentially achieve.

Partly agree with your first sentence, completely disagree with your second.
The only journalists and broadcast media who are making anything of this story are the bottom feeders who need to keep their army of brain dead readers/listeners content. Mocking City is the easy go to for this, regardless of the story, the main aim of the cockroaches is paint us in the worse light possible then sit back and watch as supporters of the old top four lap it up.
I've not seen any credible journo's giving it anymore than the passing story it should be. No rules broken, no punishments to be handed out. Just a bit of bad PR and we move on.

Seriously, how is he a FFP dodging experiment? The media seem to like harping on this, much like how we've somehow tricked Chelsea into letting us have him, despite the fact that neither of these things seem to have any truth in them, whatsoever. He left Chelsea on a free, they have literally fuck all decision as to where he went next, so that's a complete non-starter. Then for the FFP bit, we are paying his wages and he was a free transfer, we have saved no money whatsoever by doing this.

Ever since he moved to us, the media have been on a witch hunt, trying to find a way in which it's wrong or to just slaughter us for doing it. The better he's done, the more they've retaliated. Now we've gone top of the league, the usual suspects have all simultaniously released an even more disgraceful attack on the club. It's about as blatant an agenda as you'll ever see.

Re: Frank Lampard (staying until end of season confirmed P11

Some of the comments on the daily mail just shows how many football fans are out of touch with city. Most comments are about our owners and how they're bad for football etc. Must of missed then heavily investing in city, manchester itself and creating clubs in New York and taking over clubs in two other cities. Also, we've got no class. I'd say out of the top teams in the prem, we are the classiest of them all by a country mile.

There is nothing in this story apart from not telling people we had actually signed him frank instead of loaning him like suggested. If frank hadn't contributed to city this season, there wouldn't even be a story to read here. But because he's won us some key points, were the killers of english football again. If anyone's to blame here, it's chelsea for letting him go.

At the start of the season I wasn't that hopeful on winning the league and wouldn't of been to bothered about chelsea beating us to the trophy. But I am more desperate to win it than ever before now.

I'm neither here nor there when it comes to NYCFC, but If we've took the piss out of the press for bollox information then GOOD! Welcome to our world.

It doesn't matter if those reporting on it are 'bottom feeders' or not. WE GAVE THEM THE STORY with our amateurish handling of the deal. They didn't need to be any sort of feeder..........they were fed.

They are doing their job and are doing it with glee thanks to us.

Dress it up as you like and blame who you want, we've made a shop front of this deal and need to take what's coming.

Thankfully what's coming is Lampard for the rest of the season.....that's how I view it but for those who support City through the eyes of the media, you need to suck this one up. We made a *unt of it.
