Different to our other midfielders, doesn't get involved with play as much although he's capable of spraying it but his positional play in the box is just superb. Wouldn't expect him to start most games but he's perfect coming off the bench to grab a goal when we need one. We simply must keep hold of him as long as we possibly can, and certainly whilst Yaya is gone. quickly becoming vital to our squad which is something few of us imagined he would.

Super Frankie Lampard. He's loving it here, him and Zabba seem to get on very well. Shame he's off to NYCFC hopefully we can keep him till Yaya returns from the ACON.

The Prem's greatest-ever player, something I have felt for a long time.

To score so many goals from his position, every year, he's alongside Henry in terms of impact on a team.

To be honest, Dzeko was standing two feet behind him to put it in if he wasn't there and it was actually a pretty terrible finish, straight at the only player who had any chance of stopping it, but it's nice to actually have a midfielder who bothers getting into those positions for a change. Hard to think of any of our other midfielders who do that. Yaya did it sporadically last year, but this year he looks like he's going out of his way to avoid running anywhere. It more just highlights our need to invest in a midfielder who makes runs into the box, as Lampard is showing how many opportunities we'd get from it.

Yes, and someone who isn't a rabbit in headlights when a chance comes to them. Of our midfielders there's only really Yaya and Nasri who you don't expect to fuck it up when presented with golden opportunities.

Remember us wondering if Yaya can beat Lampses record (most goals for a midf in a bpl season) in spring?

This season it seems like we'll talk about Frankie, beating his own record. ANd maybe a couple more like minutes per 1 goal, the oldest to score 15+ etc
