Player topic: Frank Lampard (2014/15)

Re: Frank Lampard

Sometimes in athletics and sports, all a sportsman needs is a change of environment and for a great player like Lampard, being in this new environment surrounded by great players will not only rekindle his form, it will make him even better.

What I am saying is that Lampard still has a lot to offer at the very top level and I do hope we can extend his stay for a few more weeks because every game counts in this tough competition with Chelsea and Lampard can play a major role in our fight.

I also think there should be a place for him in that starting line up albeit in a three man midfield. Perhaps that should be our formation going forward.

Not difficult.

But a different kind of c**t than he usually does. His judgement will be questioned as will his oft repeated title of "best manager in the world"
He will appear fallible and if City wins the league this season with Lampard playing a crucial part, Roman won't stand for it. Mourinho will get sacked for the second time as Chelsea manager.

Mourinho wanted to keep him, that's already been made clear.

I must have missed that because I haven't seen anything about it in the media.

Re: Frank Lampard

255 goals and counting, from a midfielder!

What Yaya did for us last season from midfield, Lampard did five years in a row for Chelsea.

Unbelievable goal scoring record.

Chelsea were bonkers to let him go. Not a starter in big games but great to bring off the bench.
Read that they were not willing to offer him his current wages

No thankyou!
The most over rated player of the most over rated generation of players.
Very lucky to have played in the Chelseas teams he's played in, and with the players he's played alongside.
I cringe when people mention in him the same breath as some of the greats of the game.
I also feel sorry for Gerrard having to be compared to him over his entire career, it's like comapring the band Steps to the Stone Roses.
