He's got all the attributes except for the one you want, the final ball. Wether it's a pass, cross or shot. If he could he would of cost us 35M.

I do thing he is a superb weapon to have on the bench especially if we are leading a tight game and the opposition are pushing on. He is just not good enough for our first 11 unfortunately.
Perfect post. The speed is his main thing; bringing him on after 65th min when the opposite defenders are already tired could do some damage.
Mr Pellegrini should really make him exercise some shoots. His movements when he strikes the ball doesn t feel wright.

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

He is a good little player but is very inconsistent, for me his an impact player at best for a top 2-3 club, but what do you expect for £12m?

If you want a winger with consistent end product in the modern game ala Ronaldo, Bale, Robben, Neymar, Di Maria, Reus etc... You need to be writing a cheque from anywhere between £50m- £100m.

I am a fan of Navas but he takes too long to get his shots of so letting the angle narrow!

This is so true - and he has a brilliant touch - not the brightest footballer though , too often playing the wrong ball or taking the wrong options, but that said he is a great option to bring off the bench !

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

Baines barely had a sniff into the City half all afternoon because of this fellas work rate but that extra split second and touch he seems to have to take when in a good position to cross allowed the defender (ironically Baines) to get a block in every single time. Very frustrating but I like the lad, he brings a lot to that right side in general.

Re: Jesus Navas, good but.....

navas gets to much stick on this forum from the same
people who praise milner. strange when he does as much
work defending and attacking and like milner is shit in front
of goal. yet he assists more goal scoring chances.
if he was English would he be praised a lot more. ?

Can't remember a player like him. He is involved in pretty much everything we do, we look far more dangerous down his side than we do down the left but he infuriates the life out of me, it's like he leaves his brain in the changing rooms. His decision making is atrocious. If he could sort that out he would get 10 goals and 20 assists a season in this City side. He gets in far better/more dangerous positions than Nasri but tends to do very little with it. So frustrating.

I think that's a very good assessment and one which sums up my feelings on him.

He'd be some player if he had an end product. Sadly it's a part of his game which is woefully lacking. He never fails to disappoint when it comes to the final ball or finish.

His assists at 6 put him 9th in the table in prem which isn't too bad.

No goals is poor though given the number of games he has played. Same applies to Nasri.

Surprised me to see Silva had only 2 assists this year behind Navas, Nasri, Milner, Zab and Clichy.
