Player topic: Jesus Navas (2014/15)

Navas is a good player, underrated by many because of his tendency to frustrate, but he is effective at both ends of the pitch. My problem is, however, that he isn't good enough to warrant starting every game. That privilege is for Kompany, Yaya, Silva and Aguero who are integral players (ok Hart and Zab too I guess). Navas isn't good enough or influential enough to be regarded as an integral team member, but its not his fault that he is the only player of his kind (i.e. quick and direct) in the whole squad. Given how important he is to the team's structure, signing another player of this type for the left side (Reus?), and also possibly bringing Lopes into the squad, should be a priority in the summer.

We blew the opportunity this summer when we were busy flirting with Mangala, Sanchez was available and apparently offered to us but we declined. :(

That was a big goof. Now we are suffering from its effects.

He turned us down the first time to join Barcelona and it would of been more than likely he would of turned us down again. Sometimes location is just as important when joining a club.

This time we had all the advantages, better club, better language commonality, from our coaches country etc. and our Front office now consist of some of the guys that brought him to Barca's. It was unlikely he'd turn us down had we shown interest and knowing how much Arsenal drags its feet on purchases, he most likely would have been a City player now. We simply corked it!

I totally disagree with you on this. We had our hands tied with the FFPR and the club has rightly decided that Kun is our main man.

Wes Brown has 5 Premier League winners medals and 2 Champions League winners medals. Achievements don't always mean a player is good.

He preferred London over Manchester and Liverpool.
