dont think he can be blamed for morata's spectacular finish. if anyone mangala should be blamed completely culpable for the first goal for losing his man, caught upfield a couple of times, gave the ball away a couple of times and for the final goal i have no idea what the mangler was doing.

Complete bollocks to try and put blame for the second goal on Mangala.

Read the post I don't think he is blaming Mangala for the Second goal, rather for the first.
I must admit I though generally our defence was pretty decent the first goal had a couple of slight errors in it in not pressing Pogba and Mangala could maybe have done better but overall I don't think the problem was the defence last night. We were a bit static further up the pitch and caused them too few problems.

it is not bollocks just pure observation. he was inbetween kolarov and otamendi with huge space on the other side with sagna nowhere to be seen. either otamendi was pulled inward or mangler was pushed outward because ota decided to mark morata. but the first scenario seems the most plausible if you watch the clip when the ball was played mangala was already high up pitch towards kolarov's side.

yeah i dont blame only manga but the whole back four that include him.

You can't really blame him for not being match sharp, but he was slow over the first few yards, which enabled his oppo to get the shot off. When he's fully fit, I would expect him get in blocks, in those situations. But if he doesn't at least get very close, then he's not upto it. We would normally stop that shot.

Yeah, to be fair, I think it's only his second or third game this season including, will take a couple of games or so to get fully up to sharpness.

Ehh it's kolorovs fault he's the one that amazingly lost the ball and handballed it perfectly into the path of morata, how otamendi is to blame is ridiculous

Kolarovs awareness was poor but why was Otamendi almost up Mangala arse? When Moratta picked it up, there was probably a 6 yard distance between LB and 2 CB's, positioning looked poor but then again, I'm not a defensive man and never have so I could be spouting rubbish. Only his first minutes for City and not played much this season so bound to be a bit off the pace.

Otamendi was the right sided defender, he should have been the one in the massive gap between Sagna and Kolarov/Mangala (who rightly went over to help him out)that Morata run into before taking the shot. That is exactly where Otamendi should have been.

If he was in position he would have swept up the ball coming off Kolarov or he would have been able to tackle Morata/block the shot.
