Looks a good player. Seems to show a lot of character and is consistently willing to take responsibility whilst looking tidy in possession, but does look on the small side for a premiership centre half. Big enough and good enough to make it work though

Doesn't look any better than Denayer. £32 million spent on a player who's no better than the 20 year old Denayer who we've loaned out.

Otamendi is a good player, but he doesn't look any better than Denayer. For £32 million I'd want a top CB or someone who has the potential to be a top CB. Otamendi is neither IMO.

I think we'd have been better off giving Denayer the chance as our third choice CB instead of signing Otamendi. Denayer has the potential to be world class.

Thank God your not in charge of transfers then. Denayer is a good prospect but isn't anywhere near otamendi's level. He was the best CB in la liga last year while denayer was playing in a league no better then league 1.

great player, probably our best center half positionally even better than kompany. added to that he is a great ball player. has an incredible leap for someone small and would compliment kompany perfectly. played like a boss today.

Was massively impressed by him today.
Reminded me of Kompany which his commitment, gut busting runs, perfectly timed hard tackles.
I wasn't keen to see him displace Mangala due to our brilliant start but he was a beast today.
