Demichelis and Otamendi are better passers than Kompany and Mangala, and in games like today, when we need to bring the ball into the midfield faster, they are more comfortable coming forward with it; should be interesting to see how they work together against a more attack minded team.

Played well today.

Good with his feet, if a little risky at times near the beginning but that was just nerves, grew into the game & looked comfortable.

Otamendi + Demichelis loses the pace & power that Kompany/Mangala have but bring a bit more calm & better passing, for me at least.

He was brilliant, he made a tackle when we was 2-0 down and it even made me jump and say what a tackle. It wasn't in a dangerous area, it was just a passionate challenge which I love to see. I reckon he might get sent off a few times over his city career.

Hard to judge him on todays game as he was rarely tested and had all the time in the world to pick a pass or 2. Hard to believe that posters want to see him and Demi as first choice partnership after Kompany and mangala had kept 5 clean sheets in a row.
