Points for the final

Plus this scheme was not expensive. It was an extra £20 in Jan, Feb and March. If you couldn't afford that then you shouldn't be buying a season ticket in the first place!

Wow.

Eh?

Guaranteed £20 price for tickets. They took £20 out in Jan, Feb and March for the 3 home games. These complaints that people couldn't afford it are ridiculous. They can now suddenly afford the expensive costs of attending a cup final at Wembley but couldn't afford £20 a month for 3 months....

Yep, agree with that.

By the way, I've had quite a few mates/aquaintances/friends of friends, who aren't regular match goers, getting in touch since Sunday asking if I can get tickets for the final for them. Just because I'm hardcore doesn't make me a fuckin' magician.
I know exactly what you mean

Yeh but you promised :)
You can get right to the back of the queue
A JCL on no cup schemes

My boss has asked if I can get him 2 tickets so if you could just conjour up 2 for me it'd be a great help !

Someone quoted this as an idealogical debate. I don't see it. The brutal facts are the Club is a business and as such has to maximise revenues. If there was no introduction of a cup scheme, the benefits that go with it, how many supporters would be in attendance for the Watford, Barnsley & Leeds game. The honest answer is about 35k and thats with the large away supports. Previous seasons have bourne this out. There is an apathy from season ticket holders for cup games. By doing this the Club will ensure sell outs for cup games in the future and whatever your viewpoint, that has to be a good thing.

Which makes it an ideological debate.

And personally I think with good pricing structure we can get good crowd to any game.

I think we should go back to Main Stand season ticket holders with four away ticket stubs can come down on the Saturday so they can spend 3 hours picking which seat they'd like at Wembley, checking the view and making sure there's no riff raff standing up blocking the view and singing foul mouthed songs, and all the above mentioned riff raff season ticket holders who followed the team up and down the country and in europe can scrum down for tickets in a 5 mile queue that goes around the ground three times for the left overs on the Sunday.

At least this way only the loyalist fan demonstrated by being willing to spend 12 hours in a queue will get a ticket. Simples...

4200 not on cup scheme but went to all anyway, not the brightest move! Going platinum and on the cup schemes next year.

Thoughts on me getting a final ticket? Got one quite comfortably in 2011.
