Policing in the UK

If I wasn’t wearing a police uniform then I’d do the same but they are meant to be held to higher standards.
Armed police in a busy airport, he gets whacked from behind , it’s kicking off all around, you take action first and ask questions later . If these pricks hadn’t been billy big balls then non of this would have happened. Unfortunately we have a fairly large element in society who believe they are above the law . And before anyone thinks I’m referring to any ethnic or religious group I’m not , it’s endemic across the whole of society.

They weren’t overpowered at that point though, mate. Before, yes, which is why I’d accept any means possible to get them under control.
The boot came after the danger looked to have passed.
Ah…”after the danger looked to have passed” a view from behind the keyboard and not actually there. People are known to have got up again after being tasered, full control by any means necessary. Lucky the PC resorted to physical restraint and taser rather than anything more permanent.

Don't be ridiculous. I only mention other police forces because these officers had weapons available to them and they chose not to use them. This was obviously correct so they did well in the circumstances, especially as they had to protect themselves and others from their own weapons being taken.

I initially saw their use of force as excessive and disproportionate but that was because there was no context. We now have the context and the police clearly had to use force to deal with a very difficult and violent situation.

There will be questions but if there's doubt and you can only say that in hindsight then there's no case for them to answer because they're human and they did the best they could.
It’s not ridiculous, it’s how we’ve seen it. The cunts need locking up with the maximum sentence and an investigation has to take place into the police behaviour.

Nothing has changed in my mind.

Fair enough. Your opinion on this is more valuable than the vigilantes on here.

Guess the lads will be charged fairly quickly and the IOPC investigation might take a bit longer. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out in the communities.
My understanding is that the lads have been bailed-I also expect the officer to be charged. The IOPC investigation will be parked whilst a criminal case is pursued I suspect.

I have been in loads of scary situations-your senses go into overdrive, you get a huge adrenaline dump (that usually arrives afterwards) but above all it’s frightening-everything happens so quickly. No amount of training can totally prevent all that. At no point have I justified the kicks but I can understand and I can also see how it could be justified. This is genuinely one of the most shocking attacks on police I have seen-it could’ve easily ended with officers shot with their own weapons and I don’t intend that as hyperbole.

Rightly or wrongly I feel that one of the reasons that these cunts felt it ok to kick off in the first place was because the know the police have been all but neutured.

Maybe if they thought there was a possibility they could end up getting kicked in the head for punching a woman they may not have done so.

Cunts being cunts, couldnt give a fuck about them.

Perfectly true if it were you or I. Personally I'd have kicked his head off his shoulders. But it's why I'm not and never could be a police officer. They have to be above that.
