It would be great if we could have a grown up debate on what is clearly an emotive issue.
It was a stressful situation, no doubt.Did the police officers know that nobody else was going to join in? I’m just trying to put myself in what would’ve an incredibly chaotic and confusing situation-I’m not simply justifying the kicks but I can also how incredibly violent both males were-the majority of people who fight with you have no real idea how to punch-
And it only happened because they chose to kick off-otherwise it would’ve been as the majority of arrests are, another mundane arrest with at worst the suspect shouting ‘I’ve done fuck all wrong!’It was a stressful situation, no doubt.
I’m not angry and I do hope that is the assessment. 99.9% of our great British Police Force are absolute fucking hero’s in my book as they do a job that the most do not want to do and are in the frontline, making decisions that nobody else wants to undertake. The police officer whilst under the influence of a probably concussion still manages to subdue an attacker.
That's the way it will play out and you can get as angry as you want.
I take it you would have talked him into stopping or if that didnt work the power of dance? God forbid using physical restraint.Only going off what I saw Rambo.
Being a firearms officer he will be highly trained, I'm not sure any amount of training can prepare you for an attack like that especially with two female officers for company easy sat here to say he should be better than that but there with no time to think for me it's understandable. No way on this earth would I want him convicted or removed from his job.The footage suggests otherwise. He did what I would have done - ie give the scummy little twat what he was asking for. But he's trained to be better than that.
My posts on the subject are there to see if you so wish.I take it you would have talked him into stopping or if that didnt work the power of dance? God forbid using physical restraint.
Someone cracked me from behind and assaulted my colleagues then I’d have kicked him up and down the airport
Likewise. Time out and refresher training would be sufficient. No way on this earth would I want him convicted or removed from his job.

Those who are on the wrong side of the law should be prosecuted to the highest degree and the scumbags who provoked the reaction should be seeing years of jail time.
Ps. Just seen who I’m replying to, so please, politely, do fuck off.
