Post Match Thread: City vs Boro

Could of and should of been a lot worse but for some poor finishing/decisions by boro and some decent keeping from Willy. The problems we've had all season shone through brightly today. No urgency or pace in our play, an over reliance on somebody to do something spectacular, no real plan in attack and certainly no alternative when things aren't going well. Defensively we are an absolute shambles. Can no longer keep putting it down to an unsettled back 4. We don't defend as a unit, don't track or cover runners. We almost match up man for man and defend 1v1 across the entire pitch.

Well where do we start we got lucky against Wednesday in the last round not today tho. Big chance missed with so many teams going out we only have ourselves to blame. Well done the smoggies

1. The defence has looked dodgy all season - pick your best group and stick by them.
2. No midfield enforcer - get one in quickly.
3. Shooting - for Christ's sake somebody have a go.
4. Corners - words fail me.

On what basis ? Chelsea will put us in our place. As for today, we got what we deserve...nothing but a humiliation. Not playing a full strength defence against an excellent boro side was a disgrace, as was the clubs decision to go to the Middle East.

What like they did against Bradford today & Spurs a few weeks ago? They let in 9 goals in those two matches. You need putting in your place.
