Tbf for PSG, armoured riot police, shields, 100 ripped up chairs and in fighting on the concourse... was a little bit more than posturing. But i agree, ther'll be little to no trouble and pretty much 99% of our fans will not see any trouble anywhere this season.

Yeah good point, but it wasn't exactly a riot. The police did their job and calmed the situation. I saw the escort back into town and thier fans were behaving themselves and I'm pretty sure no blues got caught up in it.

my mate can't get a ticket as he's just joined up before the newcastle game and hasn't got the 60 loyalty points required.

Do you have a season ticket?

If so, you can purchase extra tickets as well as yours.

Why is this still being talked about?

I thought someone 5 pages ago said they hadnt yet sold their intial allocation of 1800 tickets. Even if they do then surely the solution is that any more will be put on the 2nd tier where the away fans usually sit and that was empty when Juve came.

Crowd will be back to the usual 25k for a European game with 2k or so from Poland.

Just got off the phone to ticket office, they are waiting for go ahead from the Police to use some of the East Stand Upper and will then be contacting city ticketholders to relocate them!

THIS

Go on you tube they took loads to Juventus 1st game filled their allocation

We're having alot of scary stories these days about our Europa League games. Poznan home and away will be fine and so will Turin. PSG came with a terrible reputation and nothing happened except abit of posing in the South Stand. We had tons of blues all over the stadium in Schalke and nothing happened because they didn't get all mardy when we scored and the blues went up. As someone else has mentioned, if you find a Pole sitting next to you, make them feel welcome and I'm sure you wont have any bother.

This. I have lots of Polish Staff work for me and about 10 are having the Night off to go to the Match. I dont think any of them are Poznan fans; I know a couple support Wislow Krakow. The Girls ( gorgeous by the way) just want to feel the atmosphere of a Sporting event. These people are contributing greatly to our Society at the moment and so if you are sat with or next to our Polish friends please make them feel welcome.

Happy to make all gorgeous polish girls feel welcome,

Will even make my mate vacate his seat next to me!

The more the merrier. If City fans can't be arsed with it I'd rather see a load of away supporters than empty seats.

Agreed.

Cant believe the club didn't realise there would be a massive away following for this match - only a very small % of whom will be travelling from Poland!
not true mate, i bet over 90% will be travelling from poland, they have a good following

Hmm, I'm a Spurs fan. I can remember Spurs v Wisla Krakow, I spoke to a steward I knew a few days after the game and he said they estimated 10k Poles in the ground. Only their away allocation (about 3k) lived in Poland. The rest lived in the London area and Spurs fans sung 'you only live round the corner' to them.

Now this was a couple of years ago, I can recall media reports saying 'they've all gone home' so not sure of the situation now. There was no fighting but a very hostile atmosphere and many Spurs fans complained after the game that there should not be Poles in the home end. Anyway, I just wouldn't underestimate the amount of Polish fans going to this game in one form or another.
