Premier League meeting to discuss salary cap?

Won’t clubs get round this by front loading a transfer fee to the player who normally get a signing on bonus?

That's the one thing I don't get, why are prices to watch football going up and up whilst the profits for clubs are huge because of TV deals etc.

The focus should be on making it a cheaper deal for fans.

The fans of all clubs have missed a trick on the back of COVID season... everyone knew that football was a lot shitter during that season as there was no fans there... it's was our perfect time to unite and stand up for some of the utter crap we put up with... Saturday's transport debacle, season ticket price increases, scheduling and rescheduling of TV games, sheer cost of travelling

The way round this is Super League and if a salary cap is brought in across UEFA jurisdiction then its game on as it may well garner more support from fans of certain clubs, including our own.

Do not be surprised if it rears its head again. The clubs play outside of any official jurisdiction so can pay what they want. The best players will go to Super League, TV rights will be huge, but the domestic leagues will be "fair" but poor.

City v Inter had one of the largest worldwide TV audiences ever, will a PL game and i mean no disrespect here between Luton and Burnley have the same worldwide attraction.

Where this gets a bit weird is Haaland is on as much as probably the whole of luton towns team or Burnley's.
If anyone makes up for his salary in terms of out put he is that guy that it’s not questionable.

Also if a cap comes in the players might challenge it or compromise will have to met with the number of games played. I think the increase in games is to cover the every growing popularity and money they want to reap from the sport.
