Maybe if you paid players less you could reduce ticket prices.What's wrong with spending your money on players wages? They're the ones actually kicking the ball about.
Things that should be introduced: ticket price cap and a debt limit.
The only way a salary cap would work if it's worldwide and that ain't going to happen, so pay the players accordingly but the punter in the stadium and the one's paying to watch on TV will have to pay market price.
