Premier League or Champions League?

I’ve always said the premier league , but like a previous poster just said . I want that champions league this season solely because it’s against Liverpool and I want that special night in Paris and the scenes that will follow. I’m certain if offered one or the other right now the club, the owner and most if not all players would take the champions league.

Yep totally agree with this. PL for me but if we have to sacrifice a couple to win the CL to at least win as many as Utd then I’d settle for that.

Premier league still. Just feel at this time of the season there has been so much invested in it that it will give the greatest satisfaction. Champs League will still be great but it not the same.

PL is the greater accomplishment. Naturally, being an eternal pessimist, I fear Liverpool will beat us in the CL final and win the league as well.

I'm not necessarily sure I buy the argument that the League is the greater accomplishment; I'd say they're equally great. And I don't necessarily believe that the CL is the easier accomplishment, it's an illogical argument. If it were easier we'd have at least one in our cabinet, yet it still eludes us. We can't just put that down to hard luck. You make your own luck in cup competitions; there's zero margin for error. Winning a CL in isolation, in a one off moment, certainly doesn't immortalise a team. But as I mentioned in a previous post, coupling it with a League title does.

We're currently blessed with a squad that is worthy of the highest accolades, we need to lift this thing for them. This isn't just for the fans, but for the players and Pep. It's the natural culmination of greatness in club football.

4 out of 5 league titles, in an era when the PL is more competitive than it has ever beento mark ourselves as probably the greatest club side England has ever produced.

Or a first CL to join Villa and Celtic and Porto and Steaua and Hamburg and PSV in the foothills of the honours list
