Premier League or Champions League?

What do you want us to win more?

I give a fuck what fans from other countries think because I am a fan from another country who have made friends for life in this community and knows others. I myself don’t have a general preference, but I know how badly every single one of them wants us win the UCL and what it means, and they can’t understand when I try to explain why English fans sometimes don’t care as much
Seriously mate most City fans would prefer the Premier League.
Given the choice of winning the chumps league or Premier League it's definitely the Premier League for me...I would be happy to win the chumps league too but not in place of the League.
You can win the so called Champions League without even winning your domestic league ...it's a cup competition and you need a bit of luck to win it.

I’ll insist that if we’re entering Pep’s final year, the CL should be the priority as it will define the era one way or the other. We should always try to win the league, but I look at it the way Klopp player against Southampton. He needed the win but knew he could get it playing a weaker team, and that’s what he did. If it were Pep, he would have played the strongest XI anyway, and we would read in the pre-match thread that that’s what he needed to do. I just think if he needs to make choices in that way, he should.

I want the league most as the CL is a bonus when we get it. I also despise all this quad bullshit, considering the press believed GPC's bullshit for all those years.
Imagine if this seasons fortunes for us and the dippers was reversed with us having their CL opponents
City win league cup- nobody cares
City win FA cup ah but it was a shit game went to pens and pens is a lottery.
City finish second and have a CL final a week later. LALA'S have taken the gold from city after marathoneffortsin Madrid, and city had an easy run in the CL. If those cnuts win this weekend their will be no looking at the sports news for months cos it will be wall to wall with Bingo is a genius.
Excellent post

How can you be champions of Europe when you’re not even champions or your own country? I hope when we do win it, it’s part of a league and CL double.
I suppose you can’t win the World Cup if you don’t win the Euros as well? Bodes well for Italy. Oh wait

That first sentence encapsulates it for me mate. If Pep leaves us without winning Big Ears then he hasn't been a complete success here. It's an uncomfortbale truth, but a truth nonetheless. We all know he's the greatest we've had and ever likely to have, but no CL here will hang over his legacy like a dark cloud. He deserves it, the players deserve it; and the fans should crave it for those very reasons.

One more point I would make, the Super League is an inevitability; for that reason I want us to win a European trophy in its Cup format before it changes forever.

Awful comparison. You don’t win the prem then two years later play the champions league. Any sane person wants the league first, it’s quite simple
The only non-sane thing is this repeated point that keeps being made that unless you win the league of your country winning the Champions League is either unjust or meaningless. It is a cup competition with established qualification standards. Everyone that participates has a legitimate shot at winning and if they do, they deserved it. Why is it difficult to understand that every competition takes a different kind of competence to be won, and one doesn’t necessarily make it better than the other? In fact, let’s say if Spurs win the Champions League next season after being fourth in the league, that’s probably a bigger achievement than if we win having been first, as it’s more “expected”
Ask fans of clubs in Spain, Germany, Italy, France, they would all rather win the Champions League than their leagues. That doesn’t mean we have to follow them, but understand it’s an acceptable stance

Maybe for foreign fans..but less so to British fans in my opinion
