Prostate cancer

There’s a good argument for having a glass if Red
Can I suggest you go decaf me and Kath had started having a latte or Capachino every day whilst were out I’ve knocked them off but Kath gone decaf on them and says they are nicer had a try of hers yesterday on our walk and it tasted a lot nicer or you may find no difference so worth considering
My tests proved mine was enlarged and GP recommended I cut out coffee so I've gone to decaf for about year or so now.

I drink decaf at home and sometimes when I'm out. I drink regular black coffee in the office, but that's one cup twice a week.

I don't mind either and I don't drink a massive amount so that's one area where I'm not too worried.

Got my blood results back and Im normal, well my bloods are lol. Thanks to this thread it gave me the kick up the arse just get it checked.
That’s good news, thanks for posting.

Since talking about my condition with a few at work, one guy has booked a test and he has told his mates who are all looking into it as well.

Most people will be fine, but every so often somebody will need further checks.

Got a call off Tameside urology just as I’d parked up on our weekly trip to Buxton with our grandson-
Took the call and was told by a Doc that the MRI scan was clear and my prostrate was not enlarged about the normal weight and mass for someone my age
However he was worried why my PSA was high and wanted to do a biopsy which I politely questioned….. evidently my assigned urology nurse was listening and somewhat abruptly he left the call and she took over which I still can’t understand
She was very sympathetic and said I was correct to question the need to have a biopsy and asked me to go to Tameside for a further PSA which I did on Friday
She said she fully expects my reading to be radically different from the previous 13.4 and no decisions or proposals should be muted until the results are known
I was elated but since Friday reservations are creeping back and not convinced I’m in the clear albeit if I have got it then it sounds that it’s been caught at its very earliest so much so that the tumour hasn’t yet developed and possibly only a biopsy and prostrate cell examination could detect it.
Expect to get a call Monday as the nurse said they’d have the results analysed within 6 hours
Again it’s vital to start this trauma for us all once past 50 in my opinion
My best mate is booked in for his off the back of my experiences so I call that a result too

Hope all goes well, think you were right to delay a biopsy and wait for a second psa test. It took my psa test a few months to come back down after an infection.

Good luck with everything, keep focused and try and remain positive.
