Punk and New Wave thread.

Early 90s.....91/92 I think...one of many underground punk bands from then...very melodic and poppy.....I got into them through bands like Mega City Four....that kinda of crusty, grebo scene....not that I was one :).....it then, for me, turned into that Stourbridge sound....Neds Atomic Dustbin etc

Edit...just looked it up....April 90 they came out

Loved punk, started going to see bands around 77/78. Best gigs include the Clash, Ramones, UK Subs, Skids, the Fall Buzzcocks and the Cure. Worst, Devo and the Fall. The Fall were very hit and miss live. Strangest gig /venue was at the Palace Lido, Douglas Isle of man 1979 to see the members, it was a large club with a big dance floor, surrounded by tables and chairs l.Punks filled the floor surrounded by well dressed couples who packed the tables. I remember Nicky Tesco (lead singer) encouraging them to get up and dance, a couple of bouncers got on stage and started to have a go at him, the stage was invaded and the gig ended with bouncers and punks fighting. Great days

Damned documentary film is on (which is great)
As is Pistols at Brixton Academy (which I am on in the crowd!)

Crisis were a small London band I came across when thumbing the singles in the former underground stall - Discount Records over 40 years ago. They produced an excellent 3 track 7" EP. This -

(1)No Town Hall (Southwark)
(2)Holocaust
(3)P.C. One Nine Eight Four

Never did see them live but just spotted this from YouTube when they performed at Morecambe punk festival in 2019. I must say they haven't aged well. Apart from the drummer the 3 original members (I'm presuming) look like they'd look more comfortable looking around a mobility shop. Defo lost their spring in their step methinks: )

Uncle Fester on base guitar looks fooked!

Damned missed it mate. Where was it on and any chance you can post a link please ? Thanks.
They were all on Sky Arts Saturday night along with a documentary about Rock Against Racism called White Riot (which is repeated Friday night)
I think the Damned film is on YouTube and Amazon Prime.
('Don't You Wish We Were Dead')

I have Amazon prime pal. Always been a big Damned fan(as you are aware) but listening to their old stuff nowadays is like sampling vintage wine, not that I sample vintage wine but you get the gist. Well wine is probably the wrong tipple in this cliched analogy. A bottle of Fuller's London Pride is probably more apt a tipple. Cheers PF I'll watch it and get back to you on it , mate: )

You wind me up
Like a clockwork orange
Then you hide the key
To my destination
No satisfaction its all frustration
The times are changing
They're changing me
Open the cage
Let free the animals
Running wild
With hardened criminals
No satisfaction it's all frustrations
The times are changing when you're

If it don't look right your days are numbered
