Rags Debt - Daily Mail & Panorama [Merged]

All joking aside, this is an absolutely horrendous situation for the rags to be in: because as I understand it they're in a sort of financial checkmate situation - they cannot move in any direction now due to the restraints these debts have placed them under. And with the despot surely about to retire at the end of the next season (and no money to replace their ageing squad) what the fuck can they do?
I'm no financial expert (far from it) but even I can see that they really are well and truly fucked.

P.S.
I'd like to thank Prestwich Blue for explaining all this in ways that even a simpleton like me can understand.

Missed all the fun with bumbles this morning but I've just spent a few minutes looking through it and it's fucking hilarious. Especially love the way he is acting as though everyone else is thick and but clearly not the person who does not know what town they are in.

Rags; redefining irony since 1910

Thanks but I've had plenty of practice. We were in the same situation under Wardle and I did a series of articles in the MCIVTA e-mail fanzine about City's finances. They didn't endear me to the hierarchy to put it mildly and I've still got some wonderfully sarcastic e-mails from Mackintosh to prove it.

P-B, if someone were to buy them for say 1.3bn and the return would bring in 90m, how would this compare to the return an investor would normally expect on other ways of investing his money?

Dont forget the twatini rule...Any new investor would be limited to how much they could spend from actual profit, everything points to them being less attractive tbh.. And they only made profit through the tranny sale last term. so in theory they are running at a loss so cant buy new players if they want euro football.

United are not the only club in a financial piss pool don't forget, they are being made an example of. Arsenal are bad, Liverpool, Fulham and more recently Portsmouth.
