Is it not explained in that you were the Champions that season so there were a fair few glory hunters jumping on the bandwagon even in the 50's! Look at your attendances from the season before and see who your big attendances were then; v City your biggest rivals! and Blackpool when you were gonna win the league that day, the rest of them were very poor pal so you are just on to a loser here!
