Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

He just comes across as bitter because he realised City are just fine without him. We got replacements in and continue winning football games while he joins Chelsea and continues booting the ball over the crossbar from 5 yards out.
6 yards out actually
Sun in his eyes
Lost concentration thinking about missed birthday parties
Not had a wrap around from the manager that day.

It's not easy being a multi millionaire footballer for Christ's sake.

From what I understand he wanted a pay raise and guaranteed football. He was trying to leverage some old performances, his stats, and his marketability as an England star. Bad news for him was that we already had the next big English star replacing him in the lineup in Foden. We refused to offer him what he wanted and told him to kick rocks.

One thing for certain is that he will not be able to perform well against us just like how he always seemed to bottle it against Liverpool to the point where he needed to be benched at Anfield.

Yea he comes from such a privileged background / silver spoon

Uh huh, that bloke whose dad was shot to death in Kingston when he was two years old, then relocated to an impoverished area of London before suffering all kinds of abuse you couldn't dream of throughout his career was really so fucking privileged and born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

But yeah, carry on talking about the "real world" from the comfort of your own home because people earn more money than you.
Yeah, and I bet back then if he was offered a straight one off £200,000 payment to miss his kids birthdays in the future he’d have happily made that sacrifice .

He can fuck right off. Sacrifices lol Because he missed birthday parties. Try living in the real world and know what the word really means. Like Yaya, now completely ruined his Rep amongst City fans and hope he flops at Chelsea now.

He was given so many chances and never took them, it was laughable in the last few seasons, his inability to score a 1 On 1 , lack of a first touch and how often he gave the ball away. Looks like he has carried on his poor form at Chelsea.

The club rewarded him well, he has winner medals galore but his form over the last few seasons did not warrant a new contract on huge wages.
'never took them'
'laughable in the last few seasons'

Really? Ok.

Just read that Sky interview.

Very disappointing tbh.

He was left "fuming and raging, and felt he was treated like shit"............really ?

Those last 2 seasons with us, sure he still scored a few goals, and made a contribution to our success.

Many of his performances were really bad,his effort levels on the Pitch, where he couldn't be arsed tracking back etc.Has he forgot all that ?

wasn't just a loss of form,he regressed significantly.

Pep stuck with him right until the end, even when many fans were done with him.

I personally was glad we sold him,i thought he was in decline, and the Club did a good bit of business.

Interesting that you're saying the positives he's mentioned are generic comments but you're also expecting him to make some generic comments about how top notch our fans are when loads of blues have been dishing it out to him for years both online and in the stands. Could you have given a more hollow example of what you wanted to hear?

You can't have it both ways mate.
But it wouldn't have been generic if he'd have mentioned that the fans have stood with him when, let's say he hasn't been at his best, because we did. What City don't deserve is to be bad mouthed by player that has been looked after in terms of wages and the way the club looked after him . He was out of order, if you don't think he is then that's your perogative.

You think between the ages of two and five that if he was offered a life changing sum of money to miss the birthday of someone who didn't exist that he'd take it?

He hasn't bad mouthed City, he's made it clear that he was pissed off with the way a couple of people at the club handled the situation.

And yes, that absolutely would be a generic comment. Not least because it's a massive generalisation.

Who from Sterlings' camp advised him to do this interview? What did he gain?

He for no reason pisses off all City fans who actually liked him. His ex-City teammates will probably be baffled by this as well.

I don't see how Chelsea fans would care for any of these comments, does nothing positive for them.

And he actually personally comes off kind of pathetic talking about how he sacrificed for the team missing birthdays and such even though he played over 3000 minutes and is paid extremely well, talk about privledge.
