Raheem Sterling | Arsenal Player (on loan)

People losing their shit at him for either:

1) Celebrating a goal
Or
2) Not celebrating his goal enough because that's arrogant cos it assumes we care

The guy scored a goal, he looked happy and celebrated it in a totally non antagonistic way.

In football, of all the things fully grown adults get upset about, this has to be one of the most tedious.

People haven't lost their shit at all, and as for it being tedious? It's only tedious if you take everything to heart and you shouldn't.

The only people taking anything to heart are the people calling him a **** for celebrating against us. I'm fine.

He still ruined about 6 Chelsea attacks. Should have gone off for that foul on Foden.

I hated the little twat when he played for us and Im not going to stop now. Getting a massive Boo from me anyway.

His best game for the last three seasons maybe, both he and Palmer were killing us yesterday. I could only wish Phil having a fractuion od self-confidence Palmer has. I just don't get hatred he gets from some of our supporters.
I thought his celebration was very toned down, because it is obvious now he's been hurting how we discarded him. I always liked him and I am extremely happy for him to get back to his old form, just he could've waited just for another week...little fecker! :)

Sterling wasn't discarded he didn't want to fight for his place and he mentioned the contract running down which suggested that city were not going to give him a pay rise because like it or not his form had bombed.

I wish we'd seen a bit of that fight when he played for us against Liverpool! Maybe we should boo him, seemed to make him retract into his shell when the dippers did it. I don't have a problem with him "celebrating" it was apologetic and he's moved on. He didn't cost us a penny in transfer fees with his move to Chelsea, we're better without him and he scored a shit load of goals when he was with us. He'll always be a marmite player, but like most wingers he wasn't a natural goalscorer, blew hot and cold with his form and overall had an excellent career at City.

Just remember this. When Sterling joined us from L’pool they gave him absolute hell, not only on social media but every time we played them, they wouldn’t let it go, they just couldn’t move on. Shows you how small minded they are. What did our fans do when he and Cole had the ball yesterday? Nothing. What does that tell you? We let it go, move on, like players do. Well done to our fans, everywhere.

Boo him? Just accept it, players move on. Let him get on with his playing career.
