Hahahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Brilliant DK.

Why do pundits like John Barnes etc compare our past English players like Rodwell, sinclair to a talent like Sterling? Did Rodwell ever show the talent of Raheem no was any of our past English signings awarded golden boy status? No.

Just a stick to beat us with. Wankers.

I was just gonna say something similar to this myself. Its quite desperate stuff for them to find things to put a negative slant on anything we do, but to try and compare how Sterling wouldnt get game time with us just like Sinclair or Rodwell is really scraping the barrel.
Sterling, at 20, is already an established England starter, and there is a very good reason figures of £50m are being mentioned with him, compared to the figures we paid for the other 2.

Why,whats Concorde had to say now ?

Sterling wanting to leave is "all about greed"etc etc ,plus not guaranteed playing time at another club.
Got to be City bound.

Concorde looked like he was going to shed a tear, came across very bitter!.

People like him can`t understand that the tide has turned a long time ago and the likes of Liverpool are now no more than an average club. They are the same in my local pub, more bitter than the bitterist bitters.

Not seen the below in the thread

Aidy Ward, the 20-year-old's long-time representative, said he and the player were always scheduled to meet Reds officials this week and insists they will move forward from there.

"The story has been blown somewhat out of proportion," he said in a statement to talkSPORT.

"Raheem and his representatives have a meeting scheduled with Liverpool later this week, and we will take proceedings from there."

Tolmie work for Talksport? ;)

They're just picking on the only possible angle they can for why he should stay because they want him to. Liverpool have basically no chance of winning anything any time soon (outside shot at the cups but that's all) and realistically he's showing ambition by leaving. I mean maybe he looked at Gerrard spending 17 years at Liverpool and not winning one league title; a lot of that was in the era when they were top 4 regulars too. Now they're worse and they expect Sterling to stay even though he doesn't have the same Liverpool connection as Gerrard.

It's like when SWP left for Chelsea. I was sad and disappointed, but I certainly didn't blame him.
