This guy is pure class.

This guy for 19 years of age I would love at City. How long is he contracted for?
Completely agree with Kippax. Sterling has speed, the ability to beat a man, can score, and will help out when we don't have the ball.
Maybe a Dzeko part-ex would push Liverpool into doing the unpalatable? Reus too would be an asset. You don't look to get a decade out of a player nowadays, but the HG aspect swings it for Sterling if it was a choice between the two. Kondogbia was a good shout (elsewhere) also, a much more versatile player with good defensive capability. We need that now Milner has gone.

Reus and Sterling just cannot compare. Sterling is absolutely a million miles away from the level of Reus.

Only reason why i think we are even after Sterling is due to HG quota, otherwise we would be fishing in a different market.

Reus predominantly plays on the left, Stirling predominantly plays on the right so both would be super signings giving us what we don't really have at the moment - i.e. PACE.

Marco Reus wasn't even playing Bundesliga football until he was 20 and even then in his first season he scored 8 goals followed by 12 goals.

Not sure about the assists.

It was only until he was 21/22 when he had his proper breakthrough season at Gladbach where he scored 21 goals which got him the move to Dortmund.

Sterling has been playing Premier League football since he was 17 and has had in the last two seasons a 10 goal campaign and and 11 goal campaign.

Sterling still needs to improve significantly if he want's to justify a 40m price tag, but if he carries on improving then I believe he will.

I take your point that Reus is a more complete player as of now, but two very rapid midfielders who can beat a man and hit the back of the net cannot quite be a million miles apart?
Certainly either would provide pace we currently lack. With the right players around him, Sterling had one excellent season in the premier league, and that makes him a bit better than a wild gamble I think. Reus looks a more secure bet, I grant you.

While I think Liverpool are asking far too much for him, I think he'd develop well here. He'd actually have world class players to combine with. Last season he was great linking up with Suarez and a fit, in form Sturridge. Not to mention if he continues his progression it'll shut the media up about "City ruin young English players"

Where's that clapping GIF which TCIB uses?

So we have touched base have we ( i hope you like that annoying american business term), fair do's. I don't like the idea of 50m though and think that bit is a bit of nothing to make the news sound sexy.

The only 2 people better than raheem that you have mentioned in that list our Reus and Griezmann and both of those are a few years older, there is every chance that raheem could surpass both of them by the same age of either with the right team around him.
As far as being forced into buying him cos he is homegrown you may be right but then if there was no hg rule and we didn't need him he would be a lot cheaper and would prob be the best value out of any mentioned.

Reus and Griezmann would be much better value regardless. Felipe Anderson has also had a brilliant season for Lazio and in my opinion is better than Sterling now. The other 2 are good players and are probably just as good as Sterling and relatively cheaper. Sterling is overhyped to high heavens just because he is English, i can guarentee you that if he went to Real Madrid or Bayern, he would flop massively. He is no better than Walcott, infact Walcott is probably a more complete player IMO.
