Agree, but this is what you get for buying HG players...... ludicrous sums but looks like we have to pay it. I think he will be a good signing but these prices attached to HG players are fucking ludicrous have to say.

Not sure why City fans are that arsed about the money being mooted. As a means of reference, here's a transfer price index of Prem transfers, adjusted for inflation. It's not up to date but still gives an idea of how £50m for Sterling isn't that crazy. I think it woulf make him a little more expensive than Duff.

It is a lot,but if that's what it takes,so be it,IMO.
The only thing about the price tag,for me is,it's gonna put a lot of pressure on him,hopefully he'll deal with it.
A couple of bad games,(and ALL players have them) and the press and especially the ex liverpool pundits are gonna absolutely hammer him.
I've no doubt the latter are praying for it.

It's the HG rule that is ludicrous because it's solely responsible for inflating the prices. City cannot really afford to leave HG places empty, especially for the CL squad - it's like shooting ourselves in the foot.

Sterling is very much in demand by us so the suppliers (dippers) can charge what they want.

Sterling at 50m if he reaches what many believe to be his potential will look a good deal in my opinion
