We should never have gone to 40 million so quickly and i will be amazed if anyone else spunks that amount of money on the basis of one good season and a bit of promise and pace.
I'd be more amazed if the club was going to spend £40 million on he basis of what you have said he is. They do there homework on these guys, sterling is as good as signed, liverpool are aware and are trying to make a good guy bad guy scenario but the problem is everyone knows we are better than them now and it cant be painted aby other way
I think he is in the tabloids again doing that laughing gas or something,his private life is a bit iffy and we could be buying a whole lot of trouble.There must be another pacey winger out there for that amount or less surely??

I think some people on here under rate English players.
With the homegrown quality in the PL now, if England had a decent manager they could win the Euros.
Sterling is one of the best wingers in the PL. Only Hazard and Sanchez are better and they are among the best in the world in their positions. Factor in he is 19 and he is only going to get better.
Kane, Wilshere, Barkley, Clyne, Gibbs and Berahino could all offer something to our squad.

40 million and that's our final offer for him . Talking to Liverpool fan today he said Sterling value was about 20 million .
I have to say i agree with him .
Don't get me wrong he looks a promising player .
But he's not the real deal like Silva or Aguero .

That is an interesting comment - I cannot agree but worth another thread?. Any manager in mind?.
