Only if he stamps on van Persie's face twice and runs down to celebrate in front of away fans twice!

Adebayor was worth every penny just for this one gif alone:

Can Sterling contribute to making two gifs of this legendary status?

Post of the thread mate. I salute you

Never is a long time. Eventually someone will use the Webster ruling, it's inevitable. The way your club has treated Sterling has been appalling, add to that his agent is a bit of a twat. I would not put it past Sterling to be the first Prem player to use that ruling.

In what way have the club treated him appallingly?

They were referring to your club not signing him up to a new deal last summer.

He was two years into a 5 year contract? Negotiations started half way through this season when he still had two and half years left on his current deal. This would seem normal enough.

It was a rhetorical question. I was pointing out that it is hardly a tiny contract for a 17/18 year old.

They were referring to your club not signing him up to a new deal last summer.

Correct. He is not 17/18 now, hence the comparative peanuts remark.
They wanted him on the cheap as long as possible ans it is biting them on the arse now.

If you'd been smart about it you would have given him his new contract when he asked for it, trying to save money in that scenario isn't smart. Look at that Portuguese **** at united, new contract every year. Same with Sergio here.

Being homegrown isn't more important than talent, but this summer we need to add home grown players so it's almost equally important. Plus, Sterling is arguably as talented, or certainly close to, Isco and Reus. It's not like we're talking about signing Andros Townsend, just because he's home grown.

We will have to agree to disagree then i do not think he is anywhere near their ability- YET.

He has talent & potential BUT Isco & Reus have proven over more seasons & in Europe what they can do.

Sterling has had one good season, fair enough Sterling is younger than those two therefore has had less opportunity to prove himself & may prove himself at City, we will see.

IF Sterling is so special he has to show it more- he went missing too many times last season in big game too. Big players show there class in the big games.
