They're about to lose their best player and arguably the best player England have produced over the last 10/15 years They're losing him to a team they considered beneath them. The ramifications to this transfer are huge for Liverpool.
In what possible way have Liverpool won?

For £36 million.

Which they'll spend on Benteke.

Liverpool have lost here. So, so badly.

I couldn't care how much we pay for him if media want to moan then they can back track to when Madrid paid £100M for Gareth fucking Bale!

Love how Sterling is made out to be the bad guy here as well by media and general public, the lad made his intentions clear back in February that he wasn't going to renew his contract and wanted out, Liverpool have handled this whole ordeal very poorly in my eyes and have intentionally tried to pin the blame and limelight on Sterling to force him into a new contract much like United did with Wayne Rooney!

Agreed 100%. There's not actually many players who can just beat a man with a turn of pace anymore. When I watched him for england the other week I watched him closely. He did it repeatedly and it rarely got noticed.
This is the key for me, we need someone who can dribble past players with real pace while still in full control of the ball. it's a great talent to have and really gives defenders the shits. They find it hard to judge a tackle on these type of players, we should be getting more pens and free kicks in dangerous positions if we get Sterling.

Any set of fans will try spin off positives in their favour, let's just focus on ours, got the type of player we've been needing for years and he's only 20 and can still improve.

Liverpool fan here. Gutted to see him go. He's second only to Messi in being able to receive the ball and beat anyone in tight spaces. Imo he has the potential to be England's greatest ever player if he sorts out his finishing. He is genuinely a monster, don't let the last half of last season being played out of position fool you. He has a better record than Messi and Ronaldo at the same age.

Hopefully he'll link up with Aguero the same way he linked up with Suarez before he left

If the lad can improve on his finishing then we've got a real gem of a player and value for money

Great news although not getting carried away until its official after getting 'Delphed' yesterday.

Couldn't give a shit about the fee. Watching £50m in the bank or watching Sterling on the pitch. Know which one I prefer.

I'm absolutely buzzing, he is what we have been crying out for.

The G&Ts are flowing, it's night time where I am.
Cheers Blues

Was assured Sterling would get done and same goes for Pogba.

Delph, likewise, so you can appreciate both sides of the spectrum.

Whatever the price, whoever wants to claim the bragging rights, or the moral victory...

Sterling in a Man City shirt is a very frightening prospect for every rival we will face.

And that's value for money in every respect.
spot on can't wait to see the lad in a city shirt.
