Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

But he's the one who determines how much time is added, he can take whatever time he needs and add it on. If anything. that should ensure he is extra cautious in making the correct decision not more rash. It just doesn't add up at all and I'm very eager to hear how it's explained as we're all completely stumped.

He should be feeling even shitter than he is as his job should be on the line. If it's nothing but incompetence then it's so far past incompetent that it's now negligent for pgmol to continue to employ him.

If somebody is that inadequate at their job whatever that may be, they're not keeping it for very long, especially if it's a high profile one where errors make news headlines and potentially cost businesses millions.

Given he was the ref in the Wolves United game, the Liverpool Spurs game and now this, he really should be demoted for the season.

That’s quite clearly a pattern of incompetence though.

He booked Rodri no complaints however he didnt book a spurs player for exactly the same offence He allowed Spurs everytime to take quick FK yet always made sure how’s were on the whistle He was inconsistent He is a ref that normally I like but today there was something Simon in his approach

And there was a few occasions he could have booked our players and he didn’t. That’s just par for the course.

He’s been rubbish with the big calls this season. Like I said, I actually thought he reffed the game well today until the fuck up.

You have though, you’ve seen it plenty of times. It was a long way away from being a goal anyway, I think Grealish would have been caught. Youu must have seen actual goals disallowed that shouldn’t have been, there’s been several this season already!

It was an absolute howler still though, I’m not denying that.
You think that Grealish would have been caught how is that releavnt? If he was through on goal and the spurs player brought him down he would have been sent off

The goals are disallowed for decisions that are subjective I might not agree but if in the opinion of rhe official that has to be accepted it’s how football has always worked
I haven’t seen one like today, and you can’t tell me I have, it’s was blatant I don’t see how it was a mistake Grealish was running to goal what would have happened next is absolutely irrelevant to Hooper’s disgraceful action and can’t be used as an excuse

Like I said he was poor all game I don’t recall any bookings we got away with

He only blows the whistle when he sees that Jack is through on goal, and has a one vs one with the keeper to win the game, he's clearly playing advantage up to that point.

Any fucker making excuses for him, I would ask you to look at the reaction of the City players, who were absolutely furious, they know exactly what's gone down.

It’s not relevant to his decision, it’s relevant to you thinking you’ve not seen a worse decision, at least in terms of impact. It’s not an excuse, it’s just not as clear a game changing decision as some people think it was as some others have been that have been incorrectly awarded too.

Again that’s not condoning it, just highlighting how much incompetence there is unless people think they’re corrupt against everyone, which really wouldn’t make much sense.

Grealish wouldn't have been caught, he was a good 4 yards clear of the last defender and just over 30 yards from goal, when the play stopped, watch it again.
