Grealish wouldn't have been caught, he was a good 4 yards clear of the last defender and just over 30 yards from goal, when the play stopped, watch it again.
I did and they had two coming back, one of which was Royale. Either way though, it doesn’t detract from the ineptitude of the decision. Just I don’t feel as bad as others about it as I don’t think it was a great chance he’d score anyway. He still should have at least got the chance to but it wasn’t a nailed on decision that caused us to draw that game, which is why I said I’ve seen worse against others this season.

Jack stopped when he heard the whistle for sure. Looked likely he’d make the box or get a shot off

Two coming back who wouldn't have caught him. Even if it was that it’s still not 50/50.
Where as the ref had a mare, us not winning the league by a point isnt down to that moment. Haaland not missing open nets will have a baring too ;)
Yeah but a moot point. You/we expect officials to make the right Calls on a game.. and he didn’t. He totally fucked it. No team should be expected to be good enough to be able to compensate for human error.

Hopefully this strange decision today will galvanise the players, righteous anger. I was also a bit concerned about playing the club world cup i now think a week out in the sun might be a good thing.

The ref clearly indicates and waves play on, as you say, only blows the whistle when he realises that the could be a scoring chance for City.He only blows the whistle when he sees that Jack is through on goal, and has a one vs one with the keeper to win the game, he's clearly playing advantage up to that point.
Any fucker making excuses for him, I would ask you to look at the reaction of the City players, who were absolutely furious, they know exactly what's gone down.
