Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

Nah, it’s just a fascinating character study.

We all wonder how seemingly normal people can be caught up in QAnon and then a thread like this exists and it all makes sense…

Hell, in a game where Lewis and Grealish were ruled onside, Ederson wasn’t sent off and City conceded goals from pub standard defending and the most stonewall penalty you’ll see all season some people are still trying to blame the officials.
Whether it is correct to blame the officials or not , you can guarantee that the Goons & Dippers would have , there would have been club statements to add pressure to the PGMOL for the next game they officiate for Clubshop and Legohead. We say absolutely nothing , which is admirable , but football has changed from "jumpers for goalposts" and every club takes every opportunity to gain an advantage ,if Pep had been fuming over the Bernardo foul after the game , it registers , and maybe a referee in future games thinks twice before ignoring a foul. Because the complaining from Legohead & Clubshop and their respective clubs will gain them an advantage, they both got a full explanation and apology from Webb , what did we get when Grealish was clean through against Spuds ? It was human error , these things happen , blah blah blah and we are supposed to meekly go away and accept that ?

They admitted it was an error, not sure what else we should have demanded? Ultimately that’s all anyone ever gets and can get, some don’t even get that when they feel they should.

It doesn't matter if you are right or not, if your posts are written in a condescending, snide and insulting style you will, rightly, get called out on that.
The content of your posts is irrelevant if you deign to speak to people as if they are beneath your intellect and only deserve contempt.

The amount of times the ever so smart Guardian readers amongst us bring up QANON at every single fucking opportunity really does show what a dazzlingly successful psy-op it was.

Any bit of questioning of authority and their mind instantly makes the connection to right wing Trump supporter crazy conspiracy theorist.

Fascinating stuff. I bet the CIA operative who writes Qanon has had about 10 promotions

My mind turns immediately to "Convid" and how "millions are dead from vaccines" but "the sheeple refuse to join the dots". But that's probably because my mum is a research scientist and sits on the Oxford Vaccine group-other far out theories are available ;)

It was a penalty but just before that we should have had a free kick when the Palace player pulled Bernie..or doesn't that suit your narrative

Why did it take so long to rule Jack onside clearly they were trying their hardest to find him off Its simple if in 30 seconds they can prove against the on field decision it stands

Why should Ederson have been sent off?
Don't see that as a stone wall pen at all for me he dived and the ball was gone
it took so long as from one side Grealish looked offside but from the other onside so they had to check everything. Of course they should have the automated offside as many leagues now do, but the PL are far too arrogant to allow it here.

On Ederson it was a 50/50 call. Had Tierney gone red no way it’s overturned and had the roles been reversed you’d have been screaming for a red and calling a yellow ‘bent’.

On the penalty with respect you’re almost certainly the only person - even on here - who thinks it was anything other than stonewall. Even those who thought Silva was fouled didn’t complain about the penalty itself.

As already said, it was weak as piss from Silva who rather than getting rid of the ball turned back into trouble and threw himself to the ground.

The easy test is if the roles were reversed, would the posters on here who claim it was a foul accept the penalty being chalked off. Obviously no, it would be ‘bent’, ‘cheats’ etc etc.

So you can read my mind then?

I asked for an explanation as to why you thought it could possibly have been a red instead of jumping to the latest “if the red had been given VAR wouldn’t have overruled it” it was only ever a yellow it didn’t qualify under any criteria to be a red, not 50/50 at all Not to say he wasn’t stupid though

If it looks offside from one but not the other then there isn’t conclusive proof, either way, so onfield decision should stand it’s ridiculous to keep everyone waiting players getting cold, palace player pulled a muscle just after

He dint interfere with Henderson, if he hadn't been there it would still have gone in Henderson was rigid on the spot, decision rescued his fuck up Having said that not surprised he gave it
So, applying the same logic to the Rashford goal last season.

He didn’t interfere with Ederson. If he hadn’t been there it would still have gone in Ederson was rigid on the spot.

This is clearly a nonsense as both Rodri and Rashford did change how the keepers tried to save the shots.

Had Rodri not have been there, Henderson would have simply caught the ball.
