Weve had this guy a few times and he lets a lot go and does very little to prevent timewasting. Wouldnt be surprised if opposition managers tell their players they can get stuck in and waste time when they see him selected for the game against us.
will be interested to how he refs other games
EVERYTHING is analysed in detail, including the referee.
Does he like to play advantage?
Is he card-happy?
Does he tolerate dissent?
Is he proactive or reactive?
Does he like to let the game flow?
Does he allow a physical contest?
Does he protect keepers?
What's his time-wasting tolerance?
What's his average for additional mins?
How many VAR decisions in each game?
Does he issue cards early?
Does he keep up with play?
How many penalties has he given?
That data will all go into the mixer and teams will play the ref accordingly. Team selection will depend on the ref appointed to any particular game. Tactics will change with the ref.
All teams know they can get away with much more at The Etihad than Clanfield. There's no such thing as a "homer" at City. 50/50 calls are unlikely to go in City's favour. It all adds up to what we see week in week out.
Too "soft" to call corruption, too "soft" to call out conspiracy, too "soft" to shout agenda. A (not so subtle) shift change to stop City's domination. City fans seeing the shit going down, the rest laughing at our protestations, while sat in their comfy chairs, fingering the Sky remote.
Meanwhile, the corporate busom-buddy PL/Sky partnership has its "3 horse race", its "fight for the title", its "Manic Monday/Tumultuous Tuesday/Wankfest Wednesday/Title-deciding Thursday/Fantastic Friday/Superdooper Saturday/Showdown Sunday" and are safe in the knowledge that its next broadcast rights deal will exponentially increase in value ad infinitum.
LEVELLING UP in all its glory.
We're being shafted Blues and there's none so blind as those who will not see.
