Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

They're both penalties

Just because the refs at the Liverpool match got it wrong doesn't mean ours was wrong

I'm more curious why nobody pulled Dyche up on his "the lino is 50 yards away" how big does that **** reckon a pitch is?
The Odegaard one wasn't a pen. He slipped as VAR confirmed.

Rule change incoming because City scored a goal within the laws of the game...
yes you are right Dermot says " I think it's inevitable that come March meeting IFAB Annual General Meeting that something will get tweaked.

LOL
how will they change it its ok too block a shoot with your arm raised if talksport and Liverpool fans think its not deliberately

They'll go with Dean Saunders suggestion to abolish the rule and let the ref decide depending on which club it affects.

He also gave one that hit Raheem Sterling on his back AND it was outside the penalty box, as I recall v Tottenham.

this is mental, I am 100% sure that if it is not City getting this pen it's not discussed.
its pen has always been always will you can't block a shoot with your hand raised above your head under delebered or not, what is happening to football decisions, mental

Well that’s just fucking stupid!!
Who in the name of God would DELIBERATELY handle a football in the area knowing full well what the consequences are??????!!!!!
The argument for a penalty has to be did the handball stop a potential shot on goal or a goal scoring opportunity (which was definitely the case yesterday)
I do seriously worry about people’s iq…..
It’s just simple common sense.

On the Stones injury - due to the fact that he was injured making a challenge he didn't need to make - This won't go down well but if the players are telling the linesman to have the courage of his conviction and flag for an obvious offside then the City defender should also have the courage to know it was offside and not make the tackle.

That was more of a pen than ours. He slipped and stopped the ball with his hand when Liverpool would have been clean through. Like saying if you slip and completely take the striker out you slipped so it’s not a foul. Not saying ours wasn’t i’d say it could have gone either way. We always mention the scousers getting decisions but they’ve had 2 bad ones against them in a few days. Their first disallowed goal against Burnley was a joke.
