Referees/Officials

I believe we get the very rough end of the stick the vast majority of the time

If you look at one of my posts from yesterday, I said that Mason will report Sagna was booked for time wasting and didn't see the kick, so Sagna will face retrospective punishment
I saw what Sagna did and was truly amazed he only received a yellow as Mason fucking despises us and wouldn't have hesitated had he seen it

I agree, I thought Sagna was going to walk, but I don't think on this occasion they'll take retrospective action, they might and it wouldn't surprise me if they did, but I get a feeling that they will want to throw a veil over this match. Sagna's frustration was similar to the frustration at the end of the Chelsea match, the referee had lost control and our players had lost any respect for the officials, I recall one incident yesterday where Bravo and a number of our players started clapping the linesman because he got a decision right, I think the players and the manager are at the end of their tether, I've just got a feeling that on this occasion the fuckers will not put in one more kick just because they can.

Anyone calling for video replays, thinking that would make things fair, should remember that the FA upheld the ban on Vinnie for the two footed tackle on absolutely no one against the rags in the FA Cup a few years ago, or how selective the panel seems to be with choosing to even bother considering retrospective action. The ****s will cheat, no matter the system and the media will back them and let them get away with it.

This is absolutely how I feel about it.

You only have to watch MOTD two weeks running, to see the same incident viewd completely differently. Video would give the favoured clubs even more opportunity to bend the system.

I believe the standard of refereeing needs to improve as a whole, I just don't believe there's an agenda against us. Maybe I'll be proven wrong in future, but for me bad decisions are part of the game whether we like it or not.

That's where I am. The standard of refereeing is appalling because

1 they are shite

2 the crowd are getting angrier and angrier at the refs incompetence and that is leading to outrage

3 the games fast as fuck

4 cheating players rolling around like that **** jones yesterday.

All fans think they are hard done by and that refs deliberately favour the bigger clubs, may be it's a subconscious thing with refs I dont know, I accept that's possible but I cannot believe for one minute it is a deliberate corrupt thing where the refs the prem the fa UEFA etc get together mid week and decide how they are going to influence games that weekend. Then feed that to the corrupt press so that they are are onside with the corruption and agenda. Why? Who is benefitting? even if you think that possible in this world of whistle blowing, videos, surveillance, camera phones etc etc etc.

Could it be they are just shit and are inconsistent and get things wrong for all clubs. My mate is an arsenal fan he thinks they are on the end of all the wrong decisions as well.

I know one thing if I was certain there was corruption I would not go to games, what's the point.equally if it was corrupt don't you think Chelsea, city and other clubs would do something about it and investigate it, we have the money to do so? Or the press for that matter - the telegraph love a sting.

I just don't see the evidence to think that and I don't want to believe it because that would be the end for me of football.

They need to explain these Microphones though and video refereeing is long overdue. Who can't say goal line technology has not improved the game , why can't vid technology for other decisions.

If that's the case surely there would be a 50/50 split of good and bad incorrect decisions roughly, we all know that's not the case but you keep believing what you want and the rest of us will just continue to laugh at you.

Even if the game is bent as fuck and there is a massive conspiracy between the media and ref's. It is our own ineptitude that has seen us in the position we are currently in.

There is absolutely no excuse for not killing off Chelsea when we should have, for missing penalties, for lacks of discipline which rightfully see our players sent off (regardless of them being frustrated), for our keeper being unable to save a ball and for school boy errors from our defenders.

I am not going to criticise refs till we fet our own house in order as it is not their mistakes that have cost us the most, it is our own.

Well said totally agree. But put your tin hat on.

We need to start hearing from PGMOL. How is anyone (not just us) supposed to respect referees when they're all interpreting decisions differently. Why are Rojo's two 2 footed challenges not red cards (not even yellow!) and Fernandinho's and the West Ham player yesterday are? Even if its to admit a mistake this would be better than silence.

I'm just waiting for retrospective action against Sagna even though he got booked
With mason being told he didn't see the incident

That last statement sums up my reasoning too. This isn't 10, 20, 30 years ago...there are rarely any secrets these days so I too find it hard to believe the Prem League or whoever instruct referees to favour the bigger clubs and give decisions against the likes of ourselves. I'm not denying it may appear that some of the bigger clubs get favourable decisions, especially at home, but then I would say we've had quite a few too.
