Re: Dunne City Legend or Not?

The word Legend is bandied about too much these days.

Only players who actually achieve something should be labelled a legend. I have little doubt that in 10 years time we will have some legends but Richard Dunne? No! Never in a million years!

Of course he is a legend, he has won the player of the year trophy more times than anybody else in our history.

Ergo Legend.

Besides you got your wish and he has gone can you not just let it go.

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

We have tried several times to part company with Mr Dunne for all his poisitve feelings for the club ..his ability falls way short of a top C B . The amount of times he passed the ball to the opposition ,or given away a free kick leading to goal is far to often for comfort. As a very paid pro there comes a time when it some cases its best to move on to lesser battles and this is one of them.Only tme will show that this is yet another well made stance from Mark Hughes as its points we want ...NOT TEARS.

Re: Dunne City Legend or Not?

NO ....its goodbye to a clown WHO GAVE his heart for our cause ....and we paid him over the odds.

Simple question should Dunney be classed as a City Legend during his time at the club?

I would say Legend.

Any chance of getting a poll here mods?

Yes.
Stuck with us through thick and thin.
Slightly dodgy history and went from nearly being booted out too Club and team captain.
Nice bloke who provided us with some great comedy moments as well as starring in some towering performances at vital moments.
Every minute of every game.
Spilled Blue blood for the cause.

Definite legend.

Dear Management of City,

I have just seen an interview with Richard Dunne regarding his move to Aston Villa. It seems he never wanted to leave, and was forced out of the club because 'we needed the money'. He wanted to stay and fight for his place, to help us achieve something. He said that he still loves the club, the fans and would want to come back.
All the PR spin in the world doesn't cover the fact that you've just sold a player who wants to play, who is good enough (hence his appearences this season), and understood the soul of the club after been here for 4.5 times the length you have.

Go fuck yourself.

Thanks,
Damocles

The thought of the club reading this forum fills me with horror sometimes.
