Richard Dunne {merged}

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

I don't expect you will be speaking for a lot of city fans with that original post. Sentiment aside, Dunnie isn't good enough for the next stage. Ruthless management maybe, but that's what we need if we want to be a top side. No weak links, no passengers. The club have done what's best all round and I think your post is way OTT.

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

Dunne is way past it and you will see that when he ends up on his arse when robbie ade tevez swp ireland ect..... run rings around him this season and you will see that when we play them.

What a ridiculous post this is damocles slagging the club for selling a player that is past it !

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

I'll tell you when I knew in my heart that Dunne's time was up. I'd been forgiving his mistakes time and time again until Hamburg at home.

He made about four exceptionally clumsy challenges, several after his first booking. It was obvious the ref, who did very well that night, didn't want to spoil a top class game bu sending him off but he should have done.

In the end he left him no choice but to send him off late in the game when he did it for the 5th time, ending our chances in the most important game of the season.

Thanks for the memories, Dunnie, and I'm glad you've left as a hero.

But we've moved on.

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

Seriously hope none of the management read this thread. Usually read Damocles posts with interest but, think he's had a brain misfire this morning.

Dear Management of City,

I have just seen an interview with Richard Dunne regarding his move to Aston Villa. It seems he never wanted to leave, and was forced out of the club because 'we needed the money'. He wanted to stay and fight for his place, to help us achieve something. He said that he still loves the club, the fans and would want to come back.
All the PR spin in the world doesn't cover the fact that you've just sold a player who wants to play, who is good enough (hence his appearences this season), and understood the soul of the club after been here for 4.5 times the length you have.

Go fuck yourself.

Thanks,
Damocles

Dear Damocles

He wasn't good enough, scored too many own goals, very rarely scored for City, made crucial mistakes that cost us games and could'nt pass the ball to a City shirt. We got twice paid for him he has also been replaced by a player who can play LCH and LB as he is left footed, does score goals and is in the England squad. Dunne never would have won an England cap if he'd been English. BTW we don't need the money

pp
City Management
bang on, oh and yeah we need the money my arse

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

I dont care if i get slagged off here by saying this but i feel that dunne might be shit stirring out of bitterness. We need the money ??? yeah we really need 6 million ? dnt think we do tbh

I love dunney as much as every1 but thats just fuckin bullshit about the money

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

What did he say though??

Did he say he would have been happy to fight for his place or he would have been happy to sit on the bench. There is a difference

Re: To: City Re: Richard Dunne

Having seen our bench where precisely do you think he would get on our bench?

Im sorry i disagree i know their is a sentimentality towards dunne and i respect that but i think thats clouding alot of people with regards to his playign ability. Remember he was ready to go at the beginning of last year and hughes had to talk him round. Remember our defence last year?
