Richard Keys "City blow a fortune"

Its amazing how poster after poster line up to criticise and make highly personal insults to a guy who on the whole is correct in what he writes.
Our DoF has hardly set the world alight with his transfer dealings and has been allowed to hide behind the excuse of FFP. If you care to look at our
spending it has not been insignificant. The money has just not been spent wisely.

We are in huge hole regarding English / HG players and we are now forced to pay a huge premium and if the rumours are true we are even considering
a move for Delph to help plug the gap. That is the size of the hole we are in! This has been allowed to happen by the DoF. It is not an accident.

Keys in the past has been a supporter of City on his radio show on talkSPORT and often defended us when he had no need or cause to do so.

People need to stop immediately taking every article about City as a personal sleight or criticism of the club. It simply is not the case.
His blog had inaccuracies in it though so surely as a City fan you'd at least want what's being written about your club to hold true.
What he's said or written in the past doesn't matter, it's this article that people are responding to.
All your post has is conjecture and guess work. I doubt anyone at City believes we're "In a Hole" just the odd fan who reads too many tabloids.

So basically if we would have kept Bobby we would have gone from finishing a street behind an ageing rag team to dominating Europe and the domestic scene for the next decade

how the fuck have arsenal "burnt our fingers"?....their our feeder club ffs...we want 1 of their best players....we take them....they generally go on to win things too....bet they wish they were in the "hole" were in......

Clearly Keys is biased and much of what he wrote is through biased red eyes, but there are grains of truth in it to be fair. There aren't many on this forum who would argue that we have spent wisely since Txiki's arrival, quite the opposite in fact. And the dearth of homegrown players in our team is a problem that we have ignored for too long.

He has exaggerate our spending since Mancini left by over £100m. Do you not think someone that makes a living in the media should be criticised for that.

He also doesnt seem to understand (nor do you) that 8 domestic players is required if you want a squad of 25 men all over the age of 21. Which we don't.

Won't be long until he finds himself back on Breakfast tv,in somewhere like Kyrgystan or Turkmenistan, his football knowledge and days in the game are numbered

And as of the end of last season we had the oldest squad in the Premiership.

But hey lets all ignore that because Keys is a biased rag and he has hairy hands.
