Maybe he is not at their level, but he is still the most importent player at City.

Without him we lack creativity, you wont win anything, just by running around and kicking people.

Nope. If someone said to me that from tomorrow I can choose one player Robbie or Ireland to be out all season, I would not even have to think about it. Ireland is by far our most important player. Not most talented, not best goalscorer, not best tackler-just most consistent all round player we have.
Ireland was anonymous for the first half.

idd, Ireland is seen as being as good as pele by some city fans.......some of us just tend to over-rate the guy. Yes hes good, but he isnt as good as Robinho. He might be in the future but at this time he just isnt. If we dropped Robinho out the whole season then we can screw challenging for the top 4, hes by far the best skillfull and creative player we have, some of his passes are out of this world. Ireland wouldnt get into any of the top 4's teams, Robinho will get in all of theirs, end of.

Robinho didnt have the best game today however it is vital he plays as the opposition tend to move two players onto him giving more space to the rest of the team

Thank fuck for that. Somebody that understands what's going on. And when they get to closing down Tevez, because he's scoring, Robbie will get some space. They can't double mark all of us.

Ok so a few people over rate him so you must balance it by under rating him? He is better than Denilson and would slot right into Arsenal's team where his intelligent runs would be picked up on time and time again. Would definitely get games at United but I don't really know who their first choice is but hes definitely better than Anderson, Fletcher and Park who all regularly get games. At Liverpool he would be fucked because Gerrard plays a similar position to him same with Lampard at Chelsea, both players more than 5 years his senior.

Robinho - play him at home - have option to sub him away - simples!
Ireland - he didn't get player of the year for nothing!

right, first of all Irelands position is not defensive midfield, like Denilson and Anderson. Park and Fletcher are also different type of players. The attacking central midfielders for each of the top 4 are Gerrard, Lampard, Fabregas and Carrick/scholes. Imo Ireland is good, but not as good as any of them. Robinho would get into all their teams, e.g. left wing for liverpool is benayoun, Robbies better. Left wing for United now Nani, Robbies better. Left wing for Chelsea Malouda, Robbies better. And left wing for Arsenal Arshavin, thats a very close one to call but i still think robbies better.

Only three players in the midfielders I'd have above Ireland in the prem, and I have not jumped on the bandwagon, I used to have stand up rows with the people around me who slagged him off 2/3 seasons ago, it was satisfying last season when one of the guys came over, shook my hand and said he was wrong. Anyone with a clue about football could see Ireland had unbelievable talent/technique he just did not know how to use it.

My fear with Robbie is that he does not have the character and aggression to make it in England. He has more ability than 99% of players in the world but he clearly does not enjoy the physical side of the game and does not show enough desire to 'boss' games. That said he can be fantastic to watch and if he decides he wants to be a top player with MCFC then he could be an all time great for us, my gut feeling is he won't.
