What does sell on value have to do with you?

WOuld you rather we sold Kun aged 26 for a fuck load or kept him til he was 32 with a smaller value?

sell on value should concern us all, just because our owner has vast wealth doesnt mean he`s going to spunk it out stupidly.

kun aguero was in fact 24 on 2nd june cost to city of £35 mil at the age of 23
van persie 29 on 6th august. potential cost to city of £20 to £25 mil

if they both stayed till 31

as a financial wizz kid i`ll let you do the maths

and as your a financial wizz i a bit shocked by your cavalier attitude to the sheikh`s money :)

If the Sheik is happy to spend it then who are we to question it? Winning the CL would add an extra £50m to the coffers. Would RVP give us a better chance of doing that than Dzeko I think yes. So does Mancini.

Would we be able to sell Dzeko and buy RVP for little or no net spend? Yes. Therefore the cost argument has just fallen away. Being a whizzkid allowed me to see 2 steps ahead. ;-)

your two steps behind pal not 2 infront. yes rvp is a quality player but at his age and with his injury record it is too much of a risk.

-- Wed Aug 01, 2012 11:20 am --

completly different situation and players. compare their injury records.
Well I keep reading how will we keep 4 strikers happy? I would suggest rotation would lessen the likelihood of injurys.

But what does it matter, you're a soothsayer.

rotation is fine but players like rvp can get injured in the lightest of training sessions, yes he was fit for the majority of last season but before hes been made of glass.

So where are my financials wrong?

What you just did was claim I am wrong as I have a different opinion. Yours is not shared by our manager and captain though and the manager may hold more sway than your good self.

and you saying your 2 steps infront is claiming you are right and other people are wrong. Imo he is a quality player but paying 20million for somebody who score lots of goals for us (when we already have players who can do that) but is very injury prone and is 29 would be a stupid buy and a waste of money. If we bought him and he stayed fit for 3/4 years then fair enough that would be a good buy but for me its a risk which shouldnt be taken.

there are a lot of if`s and but there. we are not guaranteed to win the C/L. if we sign van pursie his injury record speaks for itself and in 2 years time his value would have fallen dramatically if only because he`ll be 31. dzeko having been at our club is still young enough to demand a good price. which of course where we began

being a know fuckall allowed me to see this 1 step backwards:)
anyway I have to go, I have to relieve some fellow golfer of some hard earned.

He played 38 (all) league games last season. You have no idea how he will do next season injury wise nor if he is more or less likely to do better at another club (seeing as City had the best injury record of all the clubs last season, it may be that Arsenal were handling him wrong).

Why not just say "I don't want him" and see what happens?

No, if you read, I am saying the "he has no resale value and therefore the financials are too expensive" is wrong.

As for your opinion, you are entitled to it, I won't be changing i no doubt but why do you think Mancini thinks it is a risk worth taking? And Ferguson and Juve?
