Granted, Tevez and Aguero could form a formidable partnership, but f*** me ... RVP and Rooney isnt something to be looked down at just because theyre both a pair of tossers
30 and 27 league goals respectively last season, No matter how bad he is for england, rooney will score goals - and important ones at that
Its a serious dogfight as stated, looking at the spine of the top teams:
Us- hart, kompany, yaya, silva and aguero
Rags- de gea, vidic, scholes, rooney ( RVP?)
Chelsea- cech, terry, cole, lampard, Hazard, Mata, Torres
Albeit lampard isnt what he once way

Plus with arsenal adding carzola, podolski, maybe sahin and giroud, they could be a side and a half with RVP - however their defensive frailties will always be a flaw that costs them

Its a tricky situation, i cannot for the life of me think of an ESSENTIAL signing for us in order to defend the title- however im still eager for a signing to come in and blow the others out of the water. We have stability in the squad as players will all look to be building on experience of being champions and becoming better players for it. But rooney and rvp up top against us isnt something i fancy much

you could say that about any player who's not played in the PL. Hazard, Marin and Oscar to a lesser extent look great players and will definitely strengthen them

We are not going to get him. If we really wanted him it would be done and dusted by now.

If you spend £20 Million on a player it has to improve you significantly.

It's arguable whether the addition of RVP would improve City as it would force the departure of another player, and most likely displace Tevez or Aguero which would be ridiculous.

City come first over dislike or fear of what he can do for Utd. Yes he would improve Utd. He wont improve City because he could only do so by displacing Aguero and Tevez and in my book they are the best

Can't believe some of the comments I'm reading. Regardless of what some of you think of Shrek, the lad tears up the premier league more often than not. He scored 27 league goals last season. RVP is a world class footballer. His issues are his injury record, but last season he stayed fit. Do we really want the 2 of them playing for the scum next season?

Yes, we still have forwards of that ilk ourselves. But last season we only beat them on goal difference and their most influential player & captain was injured for most of the season. Take Kompany out of our side for that length of time and we'd struggle to make the top 4.

We are easily good enough to compete with them, but Vidic coming back, Moura, Kagawa and potentially RVP would be a significant improvement to their squad from last season.

A fit RVP playing for the rags for the full season scores over 30 league goals on top of shreks. Tevez, Aguero, Dzeko and Mario can definitely out score their strike force. But my point is, why would some be happy RVP goes there? Rooney & RVP is significantly better than Rooney & Welbeck. So surely, RVP going to Juve would be better for us?
